Top of the class!! Thanks for this tutorial Trouble, I will definitely feature it in a free component PC guide that I am confectioning with due credit.

Fan Control is one of the first things I install when setting up a PC, great piece of software. I just wish it was able to control AMD GPU fans, luckily the Radeon software makes it pretty easy to control fans separately.
Believe there's a plug-in on their git for AMD GPUs. Not sure if it was only for certain ones or what, but I do recall seeing it couple weeks ago, though I didn't look into it. Could be new addition too, maybe worth checking out.

This made my fans spin louder and faster, what just happened. I made sure I wasnt crazy because I knew my cpu fan was loud, but installing this made gpu fan louder than the cpu fan. My gpu did not do that before
I'm just setting up Fan Control on my new build, first time using it so eh, it's really cool but this video should really help.....so many fans and so little time....😁

I have a Zwift PC I built- an Acer Veriton M2631G with non-proprietary parts and it has an ASUS H81 mobo with Haswell Xeon E3 1271 v3. It picks up the GTX 1050Ti but not the CPU or case fan...seems there's no way of manually entering these? Seems as the GPU heats up way faster than the CPU I'd want to bypass the CPU control of the case fan and let the GPU push the case fan harder sooner to move heat out... does it only work on modern tech??
Hi I love your video, thanks for all but , i have a problem with , I use windows 11 pro , but when i start windows the fan control doenst start with, i dont know why. I have checked the option to start minimized and with windows but it doesn't work. Do you know how to fix it? Thanks a lot.
Is it also for gaming laptops as well? intel/cuda RTX30xx/40xx series, 12thgen i9 20cores etc? Have read at another place it not works on all systems. Also msi afterburner doesn't have a "Fan" tab anymore as well, and there's nothing to find in the settings to enable that tab as well. Thx in advance..
Fans won't register for my laptop in FanControl and MSI Afterburner aswell... I guess it depends on the laptop or it's strictly desktop only, but if you found a solution I'd love to hear it!
It doesn't work for me either (no program that I tried does apparently) on my laptop. Nothing detects my CPU fan. It is set to start at lowest setting when it reaches 40C and stops at 35C. It is very easy for my laptop to go over 40C and that means the fan turns on and off every few minutes basically. I tried to fix it by increasing the treshold to 45C or maybe 50C to make the fan lifespan longer, but Huawei said nope.
Using msi aio S360 updated Msi Center the other day & I could no longer control myself radiator fans. The radiator fans were lock at 600 rpm, not cooling enought In gaming they used to run at up to 2000rpm when gaming whitch keep my i7-1400K cool. . Try fan control and I could not speed up my radiator fan. Not working on my msi tomahawk max wifi 7
Hey, can I ask you about something unrelated? Here I am I guess :D.. My friend has the same antivirus as you, eset 32 and we are trying to run a minecraft server. We configure the ports in the router, make exceptions in the eset firewall settings, but it doesn't work. It only works when he turns off his eset firewall. So my question is, how did you manage to run it through turned on eset? We saw that there is a guide from eset about it, but it just doesn't work. We both are a bit techy guys, but we can't stop the eset from blocking public ip access, while it has exceptions and etc.. Sorry for the long comment, love your channel and guides! Wish you all the best, and thanks in advance for reading or answering!
I have already tried twice to convince myself to the program, and each time I go back to the original software from the motherboard, because to this day I have not been able to set the program so that it does not run my fans from 20% to 70% only because I run any application, and I know that there are settings for this, but by god they do not work at all, what value I would enter nothing changes
I installed FanControl today and the Corsair Plugin and none of my RGB works. Also when i adjust the slider for any of my fans nothing changes on any of the ones that are paired. If i cant get it working im gonna end up removing the program.
Will these work on old HP PCs? I have a i7 8700k and GTX 1660 Super and 1TB SSD with 24gb of ram with Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. I can run games like KH3 and other's just fine. But during cut scenes my GPU fans become obnoxious. :( I don't even have the settings set to high. So I have my exhaust fan, and 2 aio fans on top set up through my nzxt hub so I assume that is why I cannot control them in this app, which is okay as I use nzxt software. I was using msi center originally for the 2 front fans and bottom fan and running between an idle/browsing the internet mode and a pure gaming mode which was nice to be able to change the speeds on the fly through xbox game bar.. However with the most recent update that user scenario option is gone and i cant find anyways to fix it.. So I've downloaded this software and I can set the fan speeds for my 2 front fans as well as bottom and gpu and that is it.. However only gpu fans will give me an rpm reading and and if i go to detect alll fans it will say this control doesnt respond for all the fans but the gpu fans? Why on earth is this? Epseciallyt if its still letting me manually do it in the software.
Hey troublechute... my fan control for my GPU has a question mark next to the percentage of the fan speed. And it says that my settings for the gpu fan speed is being overridden by an external source. Question, what if the program doesn't see all of my fans? It only sees 1 fan (a case fan) and it also doesn't see my cpu fan. Anyone got a solution?
Thats probably cause your fans arent connected to the mobo. Probably just connected to power pin connecter instead
@@txufx9267 when uoumean connecting to mobo, you speak about the 4 pin connector into a cha fan or cpu opt right?
If 3 fans are connected through a hub, then the hub goes with 1 cable to the motherboard, it'll detect one fan but it's actually 3

As long as they are attached to the fan connectors on your board, yes, as long as they support being speed controlled.
