I have tested both vehicles and ended getting the earth cruiser fx dual cab. Earth roamer is so massive and wide that it makes it impractical to drive off road or on road for that matter. Also it's over 12 ft. tall. The earth cruiser FX has similar turning radius and width as a Tacoma. I also have a raptor and the footprint of the raptor is wider than my earth cruiser. I can park the earth cruiser it in a normal parking space at the mall, it sticks out a little but its manageable. Earth roamer is like a school buss. Earth cruiser is like a heavy duty pickup truck with an 8 ft bed. I also looked at the artic fox campers, tiger vehicles etc. not even close to either of the 2. I live in the Midwest and decided to really test it and did not winterize it all winter, left it outside. I had the heat running on the lowest setting and even at -20 below I did not have any issues or any frozen pipes or water tanks. With less than one tank of gas I was able to heat it all winter. Everything in the earth cruiser is made for abuse a durability, you can power wash the interior if you want to. cabinets are all made of plastic and floor is epoxy. it's practically indestructible and mold free. you never have to worry about condensation or leaks. Nothing in the industry is made like that. Also the earth roamer has military tires that overheat if you drive over 65 mph. the earth cruiser comes with regular tires and you can drive 75 with no issues, with the Terranova you can drive 80-90 if you need to cover some miles. in my opinion one is an expensive super nice luxurious toy and the other is an expensive tool.
It’s not even close, the LTi is a FAR superior vehicle. I suggest you take them both out in subzero temps with deep snow and then in 100°F heat, and camp in one spot for 7 straight days in both environments. When you’re done with your frost bite and dehydration in that Earthcruiser, maybe you’ll have enough in you to do 7 days sitting in the middle of the desert, baking and getting dehydrated. The features on the LTi give you luxury AND off-grid survival specs. The real world solar, battery and water specs alone make the LTi worth every penny. Just call it what it is guys, the Cruiser is just a Roamer knock-off that’s cheaper for a reason, because it’s not nearly as good as a Roamer in real world longer term off-grid survival or even comfort.
I have had the opportunity to spend time off-road in both vehicles and there is NO comparison. The Earthcruiser is more like tent camping and the Earthroamer is like being in a trailer. They are not even in the same league and this comparison isn't valid. And the performance differences are massive.
I wouldn't touch the LTi for a million dollars.. Earthcruiser all the way.. But I'd prefer the EXP myself. I don't think a pickup is a good platform for something like this.
OOHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Interesting!!!! I've reached out to both companies, shared several emails with both and from my personal experience both have poor customer service. I'm not going to be harsh about this. Both companies were created by their very passionate owners, Earthroamer's original founder passed away years ago, Earthcruiser's owner still alive. Both created expedition vehicles from their personal overlanding experiences, which speaks in volume and have survived. Earthroamer had their brand recognition big brake with actor Jason Momoa and have a massive chip on their marketing teams shoulders, boosting their prices, plus, their marketing woman is a not very professional from my personal experience. And, Earthcruise's marketing/branding guy/person did something so unprofessional, that if others caught on, the brand would have suffered. And, to be honest, maybe they were not interested in any sort of relationship with me because I was literary asking for a vehicle to be loaned to us for our global expedition. But, can you imagine I land on millions of dollars? I refuse to be either's customer. Treating people with kindness and respect cost nothing and we are discussing materials things. I want to invest (on any level) where I am treated best. And both brands and a few others are off my list. BUT.....To be fair, this comparison should not have been made, comparing apples to bananas is unfair, the contrast is real, so many other vehicles out there to do a real comparison with. This almost seems very....... Anyways, thanks for sharing, gives us something interesting to talk about, so whatever the approach was, it got me commenting. Thank you for sharing.
So you were asking for a free loaner vehicle and were turned down right? They probably get calls like this all the time from moochers (influencers) like you wanting to pay it back with recognition.
They are both ridiculously stupid. To heavy, to expensive, and giant lumbering beasts. You can put together a rig for a fraction of the price that would be better.
Please explain how you could put together a rig comparable to an Earthroamer, that isn't a 'beast'. I can buy cheaper, somewhat. (Cheaper as in it'll cost only $750k to put something similar, instead of $1M the LTI costs), but unless you have shrinking tech, you can't get around the numbers/specs the LTI has. 120 Gallons of fresh water is heavy, needs to be stored, and needs to be stored in such a way it doesn't freeze. Same with 2 gas tanks of 100 Gallon diesel as well. Even stuff built off unimox tends to get 'beastly' real quick.
I agree 100% - so many talented people out there have built some impressive expedition vehicles for way more than half the prices these people are asking for.

Wow! Thanks so much for sharing your side! Appreciated.
I like the LTi better but would not buy it because I don't want to reward a company that grossly over prices its products.
Fair enough.
have a look to see how they build the ER...it will justife the price tag
Personally, if I had the money, I can get the Earth roamer!
Right! If you prefer luxury, then why not?!
Or just buy a top model arctic fox cab over and hard mount it to your f550 and save hundreds of thousand even with adding all the after market parts.
If it works...
I have been looking at the LTi with envy for months....
Hope you'll buy one someday.
Then don't do like me, I've watched the new xs model and then you're going to want that one.😂
@@alexiosthegreat750 So true, but then again I will never be able to afford either one.😮💨
@@tommonk7651me neither, but dreaming is free 😂, hopefully one day Maybe we can enjoy those adventure machines 💪🏼😊

You have a point. But the comparison is between two truck campers.
Overlandex hard wall for the win!
Thanks for sharing your perspective!

Understandable. Thanks for sharing your opinion.
One consideration is that a new EXP is about $250,000 more than the Terranova.
@@SteveJones-qi5hn but it’s also not a pickup. So there’s that.
Indeed. It's sad to assume.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Do let us know if you want any specific vehicle to be compared. We'll approach them.

Luckly, I'm not an influencer. But, I see you're trying to be one.
