Legendary is a voguing reality competition show that premiered on the subscription-based streaming service HBO Max on May 27, 2020. Legendary showcases the competition between eight houses from the world of ballroom. Each house consists of five members, with each house battling for a chance to win $US100,000 and Legendary status. In July 2020, HBO Max renewed the series for a second season. In June 2021, HBO Max renewed the series for a third season.
DaShaun Wesley plays the role of the Master of Ceremonies, abbreviated MC or emcee, and more specifically the host of Legendary. The main panel of judges includes Jameela Jamil, Law Roach, Leiomy Maldonado, and Keke Palmer. Megan Thee Stallion was previously a main panel judge on the first and second seasons of Legendary.

I love that Jameela was being honest about the scores. I felt the first couple of seasons she would typically give higher scores, but this season she's not holding back.
at the same time she's not being mean or overly critical like law. Kiki is a lot of fun... i kinda miss meghan though...

Jameela is scoring like a real ballroom judge this season. She’s critical and meticulous and she’s seen enough and done enough homework to know what needs to be done now. I think she has been learning the real ballroom from Leiomy and she’s not fucking around.

I sort of feel like people are overthinking/overanalyzing this a bit. Keke and Jameela both explained their points of view, and it's their prerogative to score whoever they want however they want. People getting passionate about the performances is fun! And, Leiomy twerking when Keke threw a little shade at Jameela was hilarious.

I love Keke's comebacks but I do have to side with Jameela here. You don't give 10s you because you like someone. When you're a judge, you need to be as impartial as you can be. It's a competition for a lot of money, so you need to not play favorites and give only the best their flowers.

I think Jameela has more experience and freedom now to judge more openly. She has seen the best, seasons 1 & 2 were on another level, season 3 is a filler season. She now knows what to look for. Also Keke is on the show to be the nice and sweet and caring judge so Jameela doesn't have to be that sort of judge anymore.

I get what Law was saying… but Jamila was a right. She and Leiomy said the same shit. This is the fourth time they’ve saved themselves by giving their all in the battle (or by just being better than somebody who was fucking terrible), but if they applied that motivation into their performances , they wouldn’t even FUCKING BE IN THE BOTTOM TWO AS MUCH AS THEY WERE.

Tbh both Jameela and Law Roach have become better judges this season. They're a lot more knowledgeable about ballroom now and know what to look out for. I think people are judging them too harshly for their faults/shortcomings from previous seasons. They both have their preferences and stay pretty consistent with them for the most part. Keke is entertaining af, but her judging seems to be the weirdest. If she comes back for a future season, I hope she's more solid of a judge.
My problem with law isn’t that his judging isn’t VALID, it’s that he doesn’t know what the hell he’s talkin bout. He comes up feeling himself way too much thinking he’s top shit and it’s embarrassing. He isn’t in ballroom and he clearly hasn’t done his homework like Jameela and Keke.

People questioning Jameela as a judge is so tired to me. The question was valid for season 1 but it is Season 3 like cmon now. and to me she keeps getting better as a judge in my opinion. she is not wrong to be frustrated or mad that Makaveli is still there and Law is not wrong for living for Makaveli like they both actually have valid reasons for feeling their type of way. In all Makaveli has brought an interesting dynamic to the competition and an interesting debate to the judging panel

This show discredits their judges when they allow such wide grading. Leiomy: 5, Law: 7, Jameela: 9, Guest Judge: 10. It doesn't make any sense to have such a wide range of scores from the panel. It means they don't have a consensus on what true Ballroom skill is except Leiomy. And because each judge's scores are weighed evenly, Leiomy's QUALIFIED opinion no longer holds any weight.
I can see why Leiomy seems to be getting more and more frustrated every episode this season: unqualified houses are staying week after week because Law, Jameela, or Keke decides they should.
Wonder why she hasn't "Gag flag"ed anyone? Aside from Revlon and Juicy, no other houses deserve to stay. Those two never need saving. They have the skills to be Legendary.
