- While rewatching Legendary, I fell in love with the House of Lanvin all over again. So, here's a compilation of some shady moments by none other than mother Eyricka Lanvin herself.
PS: I didn't really edit these clips, so it's just a compilation. :)
Legendary is a voguing reality competition show that premiered on the subscription-based streaming service HBO Max on May 27, 2020. Legendary showcases the competition between eight houses from the world of ballroom. Each house consists of five members, with each house battling for a chance to win $US100,000 and Legendary status. In July 2020, HBO Max renewed the series for a second season.
DaShaun Wesley plays the role of the Master of Ceremonies, abbreviated MC or emcee, and more specifically the host of Legendary. The main panel of judges include Jameela Jamil, Law Roach, Leiomy Maldonado, and Megan Thee Stallion.

It's been almost a year since the end of the second season and I'm still mad on the daily that Jameela Jamil is a permanent judge and Dominique Jackson isn't.
Jameela is a producer of this show. It wouldn't exist without her money.
@@IcaroIan right? Jameela is extremely kind and intelligent, this critique of "she shouldnt be judging" was understandable at Season 1 but in s3 she is always giving valid points and opinions.

The show pissed me off when they didn’t crown Eyricka and her house. All throughout the competition Eyrickas house dominated getting the most wins in the show and doing best over all. They better be brought back the second season.
I think maybe they didn't crown Lanvin because Dashaun is a Lanvin and they were afraid it would look rigged

I was initially annoyed too, but commentary from the Leiomy after the finale made me understand why Balmain won.
Contrary to other reality competition shows, the premise for Legendary is that every ball is different and will be individually judged. So track record didn’t hold much weight in the judges eyes, what only mattered was how well houses performed at the current ball. Balmain clearly won the last ball, so they won the 100K. Think of it as 100K for that specific ball and not for winning the overall competition I guess.
I don’t mind this method tbh, but Lanvin will always be my fav.
It felt like production wanted a underdog story. Lanvin reigned supreme, and Balmain gave them a nice little comeback kid effect

True, she looks very lost and rarely gives any in depth feedback she usually gives between one or five word responses and then is finished which has me like un. I don't know ballroom but her responses are not it.

I was gagged they actually didn’t win, but they lost steam at the end and definitely in the single battles they didn’t kill.

Lanvin should of won the show I feel like that was a VERY unfair win, Balmain was eh.
But Balmain did the best in the finale and the finale matters more when it comes to winning.

Some of them judges are playing dress up then thinks they know what ballroom is. They better need to get them judges who knows and understands ballroom.

I don’t know anything about Ballroom culture but Lanvin was too cocky for me. Plus that whole face category I believe Christian was the right winner. Him or Jarell. Because I believe in natural face something that you are born with from genetics. Not something that’s bought. But that’s just my opinion.
