I mean Battlefield 3 came out the same year and it looks 3x better
Upscaling, video services/TH-cam processing, graphics card, even 4k makes a large difference on older videogames

This was one of the best Ghost Recon games of all time. Why they haven't remastered this is beyond me. Wildlands was pretty close, but this game is golden. Hopefully after what Microsoft did for the old cod games, you'd think ubisoft would be down for remasters. I guess we'll see how xdefiant does.
Because they can't make better animations
i actually really liked Wildlands for the first 10 hours or so but then realized the rest of the map was super repetitive and stopped playing it. If they just made the sections and missions more varied it would’ve been really great.

I loved Wildlands just not the ending it made everything feel like it wasn't worth it then Breakpoint came out and it sucked.
They need an updated version of this. This made the Ghosts feel so badass like they were meant to be. I love how they’re so OP but it’s the whole point of the game. The level when your tech gets shut off and you have no HUD was so creative and intense.

It's LITERALLY "every military commander voice ever". It's Steve Blum. That dude is in so many games that once you realize it, you can't unhear it. Bro is in Bulletstorm, Valorant, Quake 4 (multiple characters there), Black Ops, Call of Duty 1, FEAR, Stalker, Fallout: NV... The list goes on and on and he's probably cast in most TPS/FPS games you've played, almost always playing an important military guy.

This is by far my most favorite Ghost Recon game, my favorite part of the game is when they strip you of your tech, first time through that it is so tense, was hoping for something similar in Breakpoint but I guess that is asking to much

Breakpoint has this contradicting message. You’re being hunted by these guys who are “better than you” and basically cut off… yet you’re always on the attack with no real obstacles outside of what you’re told.
Cool thing about this game for me was the progression of the active camo. Pay attention to the first level you get it vs the last level. It progressively gets better through out the game.

Yep they sure did and then Ghost Recon wildlands comes out after that now weidlein had a pretty good customization too and that game has more guns you can shake a stick at which is awesome because I'm a gun enthusiast myself

I really appreciate how you go into every game in good faith, looking to have fun. No snark or cynicism, just good vibes.
I love how the game gives you the impression that you need to engage every group of enemy fighters, when really... you can stroll right past a good chunk of them, if you're careful. 10/10, will play again.
I remember the older Ghost recon if you were to lose a teammate or your main character you'll lose them forever, they will be replaced by a new solider. And if you get injured really bad you have to go through the whole mission limping or crawling.

this was my favorite ghost recon game, i loved playing this game all the time as a teen and honestly still has probably the best story i've played
I remember watching this game when it first game out and thinking this game was the most amazing looking thing. I played the OG Ghost Recon and Ghost Recon 2 that were SO MUCH FUN and TACTICAL.

this game was absolute fire, it's a real shame i never found anyone to play coop with, but thankfully the PVP multiplayer was pretty populated back then.

Classical game. My third Ghost recon after AW 1 and wild lands . But I ended up loving the whole Ghost recon series . It was meant to rival COD and Battlefield , but it was its own gem . The story was bit complex for me as they told briefings through videos and very few dialogues . It may be me but I was unable to connect with the characters - Mitchell , Kozak or anyone else . The bombing and the death of first ghost team was supposed to make us sympathise with Ghosts , but I couldn’t . But the story was good and the gameplay was awesome .
By far this game had the best E3 gameplay trailer. Still get chills watching it.

Future Soldier kicked so much ass as a teenager. The invisibility ability and synchronized shots were awesome.
Sometimes I wonder where all the talent within Ubisoft went?! Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell was the gold standard of shooters back in the day. Ubisoft is a former shadow of itself.
That voice was Steve Blum, you might recognize him as the voice of Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop and probably a couple thousand video game roles.
This is the Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon I remember and love. The new games feel like... New games. They're fun and all, but it's simply not the game I really wanted. Ended up getting a PC just so I could get it. (I was already planning out what I wanted). Still have the GTX 970 that I bought for it in her and she's still kicking ass on low quality.
It's the way you said "In the future, soldiers will be able to see through walls" in that voice. Crazy funny😂
The best movement of any Ghost Recon game. Way more tactical options. The best stealth options of any GR game, and the ENVIRONMENTS were fantastic. Because they were linear missions, devs could put more care into each of them!
Perfect timing because I literally just purchased this game for my xbox one X/S and was playing last night and alittle this morning.
I recommend playing the Advanced Warfighter duology, they more tactical and slower paced in comparison; I dont think Future Soldier fully represents the series before Wildlands, still pretty good video.

I wish they can blend the more linear style with open world. Have side missions in the open world like wild lands and breakpoint. But have the main missions more up close and personal like this game.

The sprint animation, camera movement, and how your character acts when under heavy fire is so darn nice. They need to make this kind of ghost recon game.
the scene transitions and mission starts where its an fpv-ish view with some cool flickering effects of the camoflage has a real cyberpunk 2077 attitude, but its crazy to think of how much earlier this was

It’ll be perfect to have a game with the same gameplay like this one but set in an open world enviroment. The animations are just perfect, and it’s a really smooth tactical perfection.

In regards to the optical camo thing, we as civilians will probably never know. The military is about 15-20 YEARS ahead of commercial tech but its because of how specialized their R&D is. Last I remember hearing is that they were testing possible applications for optical camo but it was all theory. That was 10 ish years ago. So its entirely possible we have Predator squads out there using AC that we will never hear about. Think of it this way, the military had proto computers towards the end of WWII and that was only recently declassified.
I loved the original ghost recon games. I miss gaming from the early 90s and 2000s in general... so much simpler times.

I still remember my preorder and when it came out. I remember playing the open beta or closed idk what it was but i had a code on my receipt from the preorder. Came out in may 2012. I played the game so much. I just bought it on my series x for $5 on the microsoft store
Not every game needs to be open world, but I do think they require like a little hub world in between levels to explore and get your bearings together before the next mission.
One great example is the Paladin from Splinter Cell: Blacklist.
I remember setting up lobbies for this game to grind out the MP achievements, met some really cool people through that.
Wish I could play this game when I had the chance. If Ubisoft gets to remaster Ghost Recon Future Soldier on the PlayStation console, I’ll get it.
Old Ghost Recon was fantastic
the 2000s were soo good for video games like that. modern warfare, splinter cell, ghost recon, bad company they were all so great back then
I think Wildlands was a good open world game. Granted, I watched it grow from the first beta all the way to the final update.
Looking forward to the Advanced Warfighter video, that's the one that brought me back for multiple playthroughs, as later entries did not.

Best Ghost Recon. It embodied what it was about. More of a realistic future tactical shooter. Now it’s a goofy grand theft auto sorta game

I like this game, but I also like the new formula. I actually like a lot of things Ubi does, but I hate the gimmick they always add to their games. We made a cool open Ghost Recon, but it's 100% online, and we want to sell you a million cosmetic things. And yes our game is cool, but for the next releases you can be sure that you will play the same game with new skins (this is not even a big problem for me). It's like they know they make cool stuff but they always sprinkle it with a bunch of crap and terrible menu designs.

i love this game, i remember downloading it with my 200kbps internet lol and the wait is all worth it. i was hooked to this game because of the intro and ended up loving it more also because of the pantera in the background.

This game was absolutely phenomenal. I spent so much time in the online part of this game. Excellent mechanics, super solid gameplay and it was just unique for its time. The online might not have been super balanced but it was fun as hell!! Wish they remastered this game

Wow i only played wildlands and break point and just assumed the old ghost recons were bad cuz nobody i knew played them but now i want to get this game, looks really fun and still looks good
