who told our people that national color means painting it at every street corner and on every public building. That's nasty and unattractive.

We need a private company to take over this historic site since the government is incapable of taking care of it.

It needs a lot of work. But they can always start with cleaning the site, cutting and trimming the glass, power washing the site and getting rid of that ridiculous red white and blue paint on everything. If I was in Liberia I would start doing all this on my own. You don't need to wait for government to do it.

I can not believe that you did that. You pulled the water in a bucket, washed your hands in the bucket, and dumped the water back in the well. That was very unhygienic.

OMG, I can’t believe you just did that, you collect the water, wash your hands and dump it back, disgusting and unclean. That water is contaminated.

Emmanuel, I enjoy your shows, but not only does the government need to wake up and take care of the historic Perseverance and Providence island, but you and the guides must wake up as well. Dozoa Island was not just a food and clothing market place, before the coming of the American settlers, but a major slave market for natives who sold their own people to the Europeans! A mixed race British subject John S. Mill was in charge of the island, when the settlers landed and convinced him to turn it over to the descendants of Freed Slaves, who refused to accept second class citizenship in America. Tell it like it was and stop pretending that Dozoa was not mainly, a slave market before 1822.

I heard you saying that the well is the first well in Liberia. If you say so, weren’t people in Liberia before the arrival of the Americans?

This is world history. But it looks like shit. It’s a great tourist attraction but no tourist will go there because it looks like shit.

If you explain the history like this, it will be one sided and unbalanced. The free slaves or settlers met people living in Liberia. There were other chiefdoms and kingdoms in Liberia be the settlers arrived.
