Great video far out Trucking greetings from the United states virgin islands in the carribbean us territory st.thomas I am a new subscriber to your channel I have been watching your videos about shifting a Ten speed Road Ranger this video helps a lot i am going for my CDL very soon keep the videos coming GOD BLESS AND BE SAFE OUT THERE
U explain floating gears so good that i took my road test for a company the other da, never have driven a 10 speed once (cdl school had 6 speed) i was able to float the gear almost perfectly within 10 minutes of driving, if you could can you do a video or explain on how to shift on hills mainly downshifting going either up or down, Thanks keep up good work
Oh my this is a nice truck must be a common carrier. I have worked as a company driver for Shell, HESS, Citgo any of these companies you are caught floating gears you are fired, the tattle tale tells no lies. Do not do it . surprised about this, and its dangerous. Never do this you will regret it if something goes wrong and all is recorded .. Common carrier is shit work but still okay. All companies are getting rid of company fleet for lower paid no benefit common carrier but still its better than walmart stock.
@@joebly5641 Yep, I thought the same as you; I didn’t understand the lingo they were using but I’ve been double clutch and floating gears in my little civic for years!😂😂 Never knew they had special names for it Had no problem with shifting gears in school, but had a hell of a time backing…
How have you been bro? Question I see that you are using the 2 fancy tools the first one is Fifth wheel puller but the second one to draining the hoses. What kind of tool is that?
I’m about to make a transition from delivering cokes to fuel hauling…I got a question for you, I watched all your videos..Do the smell of gasoline and diesel hard to deal with or will you get use to it over time?
Do you get exposed to a lot of fumes from gasoline doing this job? I'm thinking about doing it but I'm worried about being lightheaded all day from the gasoline vapors.
Wait a minute. Did you just attach the vapor to the ground first?? Why didn’t you attach it to the truck first? Edit: Holy s**t! You also detached from the truck first? Why? I have to ask.
@@FaroutTruckin That vapor vent is open in the ground. If you detach from the truck first, those vapors are still coming out because that plunger in the vapor is still pushed open. That would be a huge fine here on the West Coast.
@@universalenergy2311 man I worked for Citgo in Palo Alto , maybe things changed. We connected vapor recovery ground to truck . Detach ground to truck when done. What am I not understanding? A fine ? Is floating gears just changing gears without pushing in clutch? Had no idea it has a name if it is 😆

Daaang those are some fancy tools ... lol I gotta bend down to pop those lids and walk the hose down after I'm done .... where can I find them ?
Fifth wheel puller @ any truck stop
Hey brother how long would you say your days are?
I keep grinding when I try to down shift.. its a 10 yard with 3" minus rock.
Quick question driver? Were did u get that roller to walk the line because my back def on fire?

Good job driver.
Can u give ur opinion on differences u like between KW vs Pete and which one you prefer?
I enjoyed the 579 Pete the sifting & ride quality were smoother than the kenworth t880

Hey I have a question where can I buy that stick to remove the covers on the ground.
Fifth wheel puller
Thanks
I would have to shave the tip and put it straight so it fits under the cover right?

No you dont thus why we have the vapor hose, which he hooks up wrong.

If there’s pressure in the line, I know it is going in the ground. Just the same way I connect the product hoses ground first.
Why would I detached from the ground first?

A professional driver would have two hands on the wheel at all times when not shifting. Poor safety habits. Complacency kills.
I've been driving over 20 yrs and 2 million accident free miles and don't use both hands on the wheel when not shifting. What's your point exactly?
Who you are 😅😅😅
boring, boring, boring.
