ae2 is still pretty far away and its best to not abuse it and use it in tangent with other mods. for example storage bus on drawer controller instead of every drawer. so you still would want the controller. also logistics pipes should be able to read from the controller as well. you should look into auto crafting with LP its quite fun to setup and again ae2 is further away than just the end of hv since it is quite expensive and also some parts of it are gated even further i believe technically so you wont unlock its full potential right away even when you do. so investing in LP autocrafting right now wouldnt be a waste. maybe make a dedicated floor just to store all the auto crafting tables and run pipes and storage etc in one central location. you can then use glass or something so you can see items flowing all around the base as you request stuff which could be fun. the reason ae2 is gated is to give incentive to use other mods for a while and find alternative solutions. also you can improve the ore washer setup quite a bit by sending some dusts through the centrifuge twice or other machines like the thermal centrifuge. you can get more out of the pure dusts as well. look through nei. you may be missing on some nice byproducts still. also some dusts have to be processed this way like fullers earth which cant be smelted. logistics pipes can also help with this as well since it has filtering and the ability to auto pull similar to ae2. it could simplify things alot if you use it wisely.
