Alot of old stuff might not even be **officially** on streaming platforms.
Mashle truly went crazy with views lol. In under 1 year too. Something's just blow up like crazy.
"Sign" From Naruto Shipouden Is Enotion❤❤❤
I just wanna say that I come from those distant "Rapper reacts" times and when we literally started this WHOLE Anime Rabbithole with some Openings and AoT back in the Day...Seeing Nick now as an actual EXPERT on all these Openings and having many quick References to some of the Songs just fills my Heart with Joy :D Hell, I've been reading Manga and watching Anime for over 20 Years now and Nick actually recognized MORE Openings than I did xD
He has become the Legendary Weeb he was always destined to be - watching it unfold over several Years was a Thing of Beauty
It's interesting what they chose as the "representative" for each song, e.g. the Renai Circulation TH-cam video with 164M (or 165M now) views is a cover, wirh an official version having just a few million. And I assume a lot of the older ones were also uploaded hundreds of times on TH-cam (and then removed) which makes their view numbers seem smaller.
And I also think it's funny how for example Again had like 100M views on Spotify but few on TH-cam, but the next one had few on Spotify but more on TH-cam
Also: "LiSA is gonna dominate this", meanwhile YOASOBI with two in the top three
Bling bang bang born really famous in japan, even kindergarden kids request this song. Dont forget not only anime fans stream the song, mostly in top 10 the artist is already famous with non anime fan
anime has come a long way man, we mainstream boys
Almost at a million bro!!! You’re doing amazing!!!
Bruh there's no way the OG Pokémon gotta catch em all was that low 💀💀 you know how many millions of times that was played by children worldwide who didn't know what anime was when watching the show on TV and playing the card game? Nah it cannot actually he that low in how many times people watched it
Its just screwed by the measurement system being youtube and spotify views. Just like almost every other song that came out before youtube and spotify existed
@@flyingeagle3898nah youtube exist when most of the songs here, its just isnt accurately measured. Cus there wasnt a official video of those op's
@@knightdragon1324 not having an official video is a big risk for many even relatively recent songs No game no life is a great example( song removed on youtube due to copyright and region locked on spotify) but " youtube existing when most of the songs here" were released is precisely the point. Dragonball, sailor moon, Inuyasha, Ghost in The Shell SAC, Bleach etc. would be much more likely to have representation on the list if spoitify/youtube had existed at the time those anime/songs were released.
It's not the OG. OG is a Japanese version. And it's way better, than English one.
@@kyokosakura3192 Sorry but the English version is the better version of Pokemon and the most influential dub/localized opening of all time. Most localized/ dub versions are used in only a few countries but a version of the Pokemon English dub was chosen in almost every country outside of Japan...because it was better, fit other needed localizing, and the japanese version was unmarketable in most other countries.
Fun fact all of Fire Force "Inferno" Spotify plays are all me. You have no Idea how much it makes me smile to see people love it as much as I do till this day
4:43 Katharsis is like my all time fav music, I'd even go as far as to say even more than Unravel, which is like 2nd for me. Both of these openings are like Kaneki himself is talking through the openings. Personally, when I was going through similar mental traumas, I quite resonated with Katharsis and Unravel. This is why both of them became my all time fav. I had 687 replays within December and April of the year on katharsis's complete ver 💀.
I love there is someone like you that appreciates how much the songs reflect Kaneki as a character. I am on the same boat, unravel is masterpiece but Katharsis is my personal favorite, it has such a cool, deep and positive message :3 I love Katharsis and Unravel almost equal as well :D
@@legoblocksstarwars I've been quite obessed with Tokyo Ghoul ever since I discovered it tbh, even when I originally found its anime first(even though there are countless flaws). There was smth that was resonated with me with Kaneki and all other characters, they all seemed.. so.. human, even though they're ghouls but they're more human that I've seen any human mostly. They're all doing what they can to survive in this accursed world.
As for Katharsis having "cool, deep and positive message" I agree, when I was suffering from my so called 'sins', it helped me to cope quite a bit, and I'll be always thankful to TK and Tokyo Ghoul for this.
I actually don't know where would I have been if not without Katharsis and Unravel.
Unravel helped to cope a quite a bit too,
The lines(translated) "This is who I am now, the old me in gone now" made me realized, this is who I was now, and I should accept the fact that, the old me, the child inside, is gone now.
OOF I wrote a bit too much, sorry, I got carried away as these 2 songs and Tokyo Ghoul hold quite a bit of emotional connection for me so when I start to speak abt them, I do a lot.
idgaf if ppl call idol overplayed or overrated, that song literally got me so hooked i listened to it with my homies and they fw it.
YOASOBI killed it. 2 openings in top 3 and a lot of top spots
endings are so underrated, i think nick should do a list for endings
Idol is a vibe and people can't digest that 🗣️🗣️..
Frrr
Got a follow just because I found out how much you like Black Clover. MY MAN!
clicked on the notification and i’m not mad about it
nick you need to make a list of your personal top 100
He did already the list is mid
15:22 ...Uhm... Somebody gonna tell Him?
Oshi no Ko's opening song is such a perfect summary of the show that if you didn't have the time and want to watch episode one again, just watch the opening with lyrics and you'll get the same impact.
Respect to Naruto emotions and kana boon for creating an evergreen song nearly 7 to 10 year it came out still
SO GLAD TO SEE ANOHANA OP IN THE TOP 100. EVERYBODY TALKS ABOUT THE ED, SUCH AN UNDERRATED OP
i dont consider Naruto op 16 to be the best OP in naruto but in still glad its so high up. Naruto has so many ICONIC op, its insane. Although, One piece isn't known for its openings, WE ARE ONE should be here (and if were going by quality, than bleach openings)
Your right this is streaming error. Some of these rankings don't make sense. A few years ago people used to download songs and listen on repeat that's why the older openings are so low in rank otherwise they would crush all recent openings. Especially, the POKEMON opening. Thats legendary.
TH-cam Music counts the uses of songs in the shorts as if they were plays. That's why recent anime have increased so quickly, because of their use in shorts. Like "Idol" or "Bling-Bang-Bang-Born".
The creator of that video released another one(Endings) literally just now ...react to that one too Lol
I feel like Nick doesn't give enough love towards endings
There's so much anime where the ed is better than the op for example shield hero
@@VshznThe first ending of Frieren is also in my opinion better than the OP. The visuals are absolutely stunning and the song is pretty great. I also like the OP but I thing the ending is better.
the reason some of the songs are very famous is because the band that made those songs are giant in japan especially the Mrs. green applea and yoasaobi
Please, could you react to more Eve songs? This 3 in specific:
• Insomnia
• Last dance
• Tokyo getto
He heard tokyo ghetto in one of his recent streams(and loved it ofc)
@@tronortronis the video on TH-cam?
@@estrelladzul2786 no but the vod is still up on twitch
Its the one that's 1hr50min long and the song starts around the 53min mark
14:21 My headphone while I'm deadlifting at gym:
When naruto silloutte came I jumped like damn yeah !!
half of the top 10 i just listened to them cause they were good. i didnt even know there was any animes connected with them😭😭
I know Oshi is popular and good, but I honestly didn’t expect it to be the #1. It’s good, but is it really THAT good?
Don't get me wrong yaosobi as a whole is overrated as hell even idol feels so average. Guys like tatsuya kitani and eve makes better songs any day
13:49 didn’t expect Onegai Muscle to be on the list, the gymbros are carrying this! 💪🔥
Dandadan OP gonna be in the top (i Hope)
It will be in the top 10
the song doesnt have the hype vibe it needs tho
@@Myst_Rexdo you need your gongs and kicks for a song to be hype? you need the hans zimmer bass in the rap song? no, even if the song sounds simple it still sounds hype bc of the far off yet fitting vibe for dandandan
@@spinelazuli29 i am not saying the song is bad i actually really like it
It just doesn't sound like a song that will go Viral like Mashle did
@@Myst_Rex sorry man i was hating
I went to an anime convention once and a talent contest was held. Almost 80% of the contestants sang and danced the Oshi No Ko song. It was THAT popular
The power of YOASOBI🔥
I must've been about 633mil of the streams of Kyouran Hey Kids!! by now, I stand proud with how high up that is
COWBOY BEBOP AT 90?!?!?! THAT HAS TO BE A JOKE!!!
I can't live without your reactions ( your the best)
1:57 Did my boy bust???
NICK THEY JUST RELEASED AN ED VERSION OF THIS VIDEO. IM WAITING FOR YOUR REACTION
Nick can you do the last kuma video about the top endings too please?
Yes please 🙏🥺
Unravel and Sillhouette is an absolute unit
The most shocking was serial experiment lain being on the list
I really thought Unravel, Crossing Field, and Evangelion would be higher. In my time, they were THE definitive anime songs
she became the Number 1 Idol.😆
Love your reactions Nick ❤
Where is Death Parade OP "Flyer" by BRADIO?
These are my fav videos you do
Let's be honest, the fact that the opening of One Piece got few streams is not because it's the era of streaming. This didn't hurt Naruto, it's just that the OP has very few good openings
This is what we love to see! Mr light🗣🦅
16:51 I was not expecting this song to pop up but I forget sometimes it's made by the same people who made Idol and Into The Night
The Dumbell-ka opening full MV has a real, glistening bodybuilder showing off his guns, and is just the most hilarious thing, so I think that's where the views come from
Also the song is really good.
The Idol hate in the chat is crazy. It absolutely deserves the top spot. Whether or not it's overplayed is up for debate, but is it overrated? Nah, if anything it's even better now with more context of some lyrics in recent parts of the manga.
5:25 Wow, such a great reaction video. If only I could hear what you're saying...
yoasobi on top
Creepy Nuts and Yoasobi are smashing everything. Mashle is epic and IDOL smashed every fucking top in existence. You may not like the show but the song is completely genious, IDOL it's just a piece of art.
Otonoke by Creepy Nuts also came this season in Dandadan... check it out too, it's no less than a banger🔥🔥
22:39 fire force has been dominating after unravel cooled down
you know, to make it to the top 100 at all is crazy
