The song that was playing at the end there was actually sam and mon singing it . One of the songs that always play during almost every ep is sang by sam . In the finale ep the last song that’s gonna play is by them as well . I didn’t know they sing when i was first watching the series but watching ep 3 again and knowing the were singing the song that was playing when mon tripped when she was getting out of the pool and sam caught her was just soooooooooo cuteee
I think Sam's rush to start intimacy with Mon is meant to show her eagerness to be in a romantic relationship in contrast with her innocence. She doesn't even know the proper steps to romance but she trusts Mon enough to reveal this side of her. I agree that the firing drama thing is a bit unnecessary and stressful on poor Mon, but again Sam, being Sam, she has her way of going about things. Actually I think the fact that they didn't kiss in this episode is more of a "them" thing I think they wanted to imply and that's how I understood it, is that you don't need so much physical contact to show your feelings, for example in the moment where Sam intercepts Mon in the restaurant you can feel the tension and nervousness of both of them there, just by the two of them standing in front of each other, then when Sam tries to explain herself again you can feel her own confusion and guilt for confusing Mon in that way (I could see it in her eyes) and the frustration of both of them in that situation, for me it was a good move that they didn't kiss there, at that moment I think it felt like something they would do, to go slow because of the inexperience of both of them. Sorry for the long comment, I mean if this fandom died and revived with episode 8 and 9 I think you are going to need blood pressure pills and something sweet to eat because my god what is coming, I really like your reactions to this and other series I enjoy them very much
