Hey lovelies, continuing on in my Ocean series we are creating our deepest piece yet. A Resin Aquarium or fish tank. I loved the idea of trying this and despite the poor quality fish lol I still love the results.
I use Vista Turbo resin for the thin layers and finish it with Vista Ocean for the final inch layer.

Amazing work still with the bubbles it ok coss the sea it is full of them am created my sea an was so happy how the bubbles make so sea natural.

That turned out so cool! Only thing I can think might make it better, aside from better quality creatures lol, is maybe use some bubble looking additives so you can add bubbles but exactly where you want them like coming out of the turtles mouth or something. I’ve done that before. Controlled bubbles! Lol

Claire this is gorgeous!! I love the base and the turtle the most, the depth really works so well. And even if the fish were a bit cheap and wonky they really come alive with the placement. And the base is just a stroke of genius.
Love love love this! Also, you can set this on top of a base light and it can be a cool night light or just cool light-up decor! :)

I love vista resin. You really don't need to rub it into whatever your adding. It just works itself around everything. It's the same with deep pours and dried flowers 💐

my only prob is i wouldnt want to wait so long to get the finished thing lol.i like to make things quick lol. for some layers could u use the fast curring resion? and does it have to be the same resin all the way from start to end?
what size circle mold did you use for the fish tank?
the mold u used for this project where did u get that from? i always used to get lets resion stuff but then they didn't always send to Australia
Would you be able to do this in a metal cake tin or would it not come out? I’d love to try it but can’t get a decent size mould with a decent sized price 🤣xx

Just in case anyone wants to try a real one. I had a beautiful vase that my Beta lived in. I thought it would be easier to clean and the plants wouldn’t die if I resined them into the bottom of the vase. Dont do it! My Beta was dead in a week. Coincidence?
