There is always something about sea themes I absolutely love 🧜🏻♀️ I think it's cos I'm a water sign 🦀🦞🐟🐚😊
Ahhhh Dawn yeh I cannot imagine not living Ocean themes ❤️😍
Ha ha ha paws!!! Absolutely in love with the little star fish x
🤣🤣🤣🤣 right?? Haaaaa
I love the ocean, I would live under the sea if I could. Thank you so much for sharing!!
My brain sees gummy shapes 😋People keep saying I need to grow up. I'm speechless 😐 Well it's hard to talk with 50 gummy bears in your mouth 🥰
🤣🤣🤣 lol now I want Gummy Bears
I always enjoy your videos and I’m loving the ocean theme. My daughter and I walked down to the ocean last night after dinner.
Thank you so much Kelly ❤️❤️ ohhh how lovely 😍 wish I lived near the sea
Claire your getty-ness (is that a word?) 🤭 Anyway I got it now. My Darling husband bought me a gallon of silicone. I feel like a hoarder (or maybe a squirrel collecting nuts) collecting little things from friends houses to mold HELP I CAN'T STOP.....Love ya girl...
It is important to bake your clay at the temperature on the package, never lower, it needs the higher temperature to cure correctly. You heat the oven first to get it to the right temperature. Use a tent so it will not burn, my tent is the top of the aluminum disposable roasting pan. I love your enthusiasm!!
Nice! Aww deary Claire.... Pretty sure sea turtle's appendages are called flippers.😉😁👍🏻❤️
Claire they came out great. Your hilarious and fun .
I'm amazed at how much detail still comes through the cling wrap. I would have thought for sure that it would wipe out any of the subtleties but apparently not! Many thanks for a new technique to try!
Cody yes totally agree ...you would definitely assume that detail gets lost 😁🙌 its very cool
So many handy hints and tips for both inlay and mould making! 😍
Thank yooo Mizz ❤️❤️❤️
These will last a good long time. Well done Claire. Happy crafting.

Great video Claire, love your enthusiasm. Does it matter what colour your Sculpey clay is?
Bedankt
😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️
Need to go looking for sea shells very few where I go
Ahhhh yeh finding them naturally is not easy ❤️
Have you tried noncuring clay? You won't have the original but you can keep using the clay over and over. Thank you, Clair. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Heyyyy Oam .. I have not tried non curing clay no ... I didnt even know you could get non curing clay 🤣🤣🙈
@@ClairesCraftyCorner I got a great big block for making coaster molds and other pieces for resin. Non Harding modeling clay. is what you type in to search.
I have been trying to figure out how to silicone a crab shell so that I have the whole thing inside and out. I make tidepools with them.
These are all so cute.
So when are you going to start selling your silicone seaside stress toys Claire? 😁
Haaaa one day I'm sure 😍
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
How do you make the soft payable molds
Deborah
Have you done a pine cone?
Any reason why you don’t use air dry clay? Given the length of time you left the clay to cool down I wouldn’t have thought there was much in it time wise? Just curious 😊
Heyyyy Sylver ... DAS Air Dry clay would have taken anywhere from 3 days to a week to fully dry.... I have made many air dry clay projects and it takes days.
@@ClairesCraftyCorner oh ok. Thanks for that.
If you need only two or three castings at a time it may be possible to make them without baking the clay? This would mean the clay could be reshaped and re-used?
Thank yooooo Caroline .. I am not sure how Silicone would respond to that moisture .. but do let me know if you try it 🙌🙌😍😍
If its polymer clay it would be slightly oily, so moisture shouldn't be a problem. The whole casting procedure is fascinating, so many different materials each with their own properties.
Thanks now i k now how 😅to do the inlays😂😂😂 still putting along with too many ideas to work on. Can you have too many ideas??😅
Hi Claire! How are you doing?
I had a question about jesmonite (like always 😂).
Sometimes when I pour the jesmonite, my moulds' shape expands. Sometimes the end product comes out as it should but sometimes it has bulges in the middle or the entire product just gets bloated.
Due to all this, I end up using a lot more Material than measured as per the water method. Like just now, I was making a pot and it was supposed to use 264g of liquid but instead it used 364. I had to actually pour in another layer of 100g to fill the mould.
Do you have any idea as to why this would be happening?
Thank you in advance!💜
Heyyyy Kalika ... yes this happens usually with the cheapest moulds I have had this happen many times. With trays and shapes you can prop them up .. but with plates etc .. I haven't found a way to combat this sadly.
@@ClairesCraftyCorner That's sad 😐
I had imported some moulds from China because they weren't available in India but I guess they weren't worth the money 🥺
Thank you for replying 💕
I wonder if pressing the mold into rice, making sure it's level, would support the sides enough to keep the shape. Beans might provide more support too.
Or you could try adding silicone caulk to the outer sides to reinforce it.
You could also try using a block of flower foam. Just press the mold into it hard & then if needed carve out underneath the mold. Then use a level to insure it's still even. At the end you should theoretically have a nice flower foam block for whenever you use that mold.
You could also try making your own mold out of the old mold but with reinforced sides.
The easiest would be just to find a better mold right from the start. If you can even find one at all.
Just some ideas. Take it or leave it. I just can't help but try & fix a problem. Or rather usually just give the ideas. I don't usually try them out. Plus I'm still kind of new to resin. So I haven't tried things out much.
Do you sell your sea shell silicone inlays?
Now need to know what jesmonite is
Heyyyyy Laurie .. it is an Eco Friendly Acrylic based Resin I have a few videos on it .. but I have a beginner video which Exminster and demonstrates everything 😍😍😍😍
