Hello Aly, I still don’t know if I’m soft natural, theatrical romantic or soft classic😪 I thought I was TR but I’m 1m70 (and look shorter than I am) so I’ve hesitating after watching your videos 😩
@@jupiterian5831hey're all very different body types . If you are taller than 5'5 or you don't have double curve you cannot be TR . If you think you are TR then surely you have narrow and delicate frame? If so that rules out natural, naturals have width to their shoulders whilst TRs are the opposite. Classic is the Goldilocks body type , nothing is too large or too small or too yin or to yang. Classics tend to look best in minimal detail and can be overwhelmed by patterns .

I am so happy I found your channel and truly enjoy your videos. It was so helpful at age 63 to discover -- through you -- that I am a romantic body type. It has helped me learn that things I looked at as flaws are actually attributes of this body type. And it also has eased the pain that I share them with beauties like Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor!
I feel like I had to discover so much of this stuff through trial and error and lots of money wasted. It would have been amazing to find this info years ago. I'm glad you're sharing these tips with everyone. I learned some new things here that explained why some items just throw off my proportions or overall look.

Thank you, thank you, Aly! The tip about having some thin belts will save a lot of my outfits that are a little looser in the waist and tend to make me lose my shape. The tip about using wedge shoes with long pants is also something I will definitely start incorporating as I never understood why a long leg made me look shorter. So much gold in these guides and the way you present them. Every time you have a romantic/theatrical romantic video, I learn more about my body type and find more things in my wardrobe that need to be culled. My closet thanks you too! 😄

Great video! I'm still learning, and this was very helpful. Only sad part is I prefer to wear wedges as a heel because I walk a lot during the day. But you are right about the "lightness" a heel brings. Also, I sometimes wonder about tucking in my shirt. I have a bit of a "mummy tummy" thing going on from a c-section and three kids, so I worry about tucking in my shirt. My kids call it "my hump." lol. I think I just need to get over it and fully embrace the tuck. That seems better than the shirt down over my hips "dragging me down" as you say. That's a good way to phrase it. Plus, my legs already look short enough. Thanks again for the information. I love flowy and soft anything! :).
I feel like I am one of few people who actually like low rise pants/jeans!
i believe my type is romantic or TR. i have a long torso, short legs, very wide hips, small waist/ribcage/shoulders. i’ve tried so hard to make it work but most high waisted jeans are so unflattering on my torso and lower stomach. i like to wear low waisted (mid rise is ok) long (not cropped) pants with tops that have waist emphasis or are more form-fitting. and i always wear platform shoes to help me look less short/stocky.
i still struggle with always creating outfits that flatter my type though! looking forward to your TR video

Thank you for this video, inspiring some many new motifs for me to integrate. It is hard to find outfits for romantics in this era. I do however find myself pulling off ballet flats quite well (not those so soft kinds shown in the video, but those non bendable with similar round and deeper toe boxes, pastels in color). I am a tall romantic, 166 cm/5’5.5”. Maybe the height makes some difference. Shoes with any pointy toe box don’t work well for me. 😢. It has to be strictly round in shape and the visual difference is huge.
I would love to see a video from you about the David Zyla true colors. It’s so interesting and I love hearing your perspective on these systems

As a small-chested romantic with a wide back I'd like to request your suggestions on balanced dressing when there's not much "to show" in my modest top half with most romantic-style garments (dresses in particular) revolving around ample bustlines. Do you think visiting a seamstress is the only option, and will such alterations ruin the overall silhouette? Also if you have any tips for an overweight romantic with not much of a waist-hip ratio difference I'd greatly love to hear them, I somehow seem to find many belts and shirt tucks only adding to the bulk of my midriff!

I think I am a romantic (I mean all the things in this video apply to me). This is real random and I don’t know if any other romantic feels this way but I hate hate HATE knee high socks on me (over the knee is fine tho). The knee highs make my legs look even more short and calf’s look wider. Like it makes me look so stocky?

What if youre plus sized? I think the waist emphasis is absolutely necessary but even hogh waisted jeans tend to slide down into the indent where my belly button is, creating a pooch of flesh on my belly above the waist band. I will try to get high waisted pants so they stay up and iver that pooch/bump, but they always slip down to the indentation at the belly button and create almost a muffin top. It so frustrating because then i have this obvious roll when I tuck in my shirt.
Idk if you've tried this. But I hear ppl say to go up a size and then get them tailored on the waist. When I was younger, my mom got all our clothes tailored and it made a huge difference. Especially jeans. My favorite was JLo's Riders collection at that time.

What's the difference between a soft dramatic and a romantic
For one, soft dramatics are much taller. And they have a more pronounced bone structure.
Is it possible to be 5'7" and be romantic body type? I pretty much have the same body type as Emilia Clarke, just a few inches taller. I always remain fleshy (especially in upper arms and thighs) no matter how low my body weight gets.

I am definitely a romantic type with large hands and feet. Why are my feet and hands long and large. I am 5’6 and wear a
10.5 US shoe. My fingers are long and my hands are large, but NOT masculine.
I am the same! I am 5’4” and people always say I am petite and curvy. But my hands don’t seem to match the rest of me haha. When I shake any female’s hand their hand feels like a baby’s hand to me. My hands are very long and I’d say wide too! They are tapered and look feminine but they are big.
