Of note: the Bosch and Milwaukee are 12V tools, the rest are 18/20V. I thought most of the difference would have been in the blade, but you've shown that the tool makes a huge difference. Thanks for the video!
Yep good point, I'm now curious what the m12 will do with the new HO batterys. Yep that Dewalt is no joke, almost too much power for its size. No problem!
Great update, that Dewalt is still smashing the others. Just finally picked mine up last week, but had to buy it in the kit form, still not available as a bare unit over here. At least I have a couple of PowerStack batteries now though.
Thanks! Nice! Interesting I haven't seen the kit offered here just tool only. Yeah it's incredible the power this little tool has. The PowerStack is a nice fit for this tool.
The battery used with this tool makes a huge difference also and the DeWalt having the power stack gives it a big advantage over the others. The Milwaukee being a 12v tool is a huge disadvantage
Yep the battery makes a big difference on these. I cant wait for the 5ah power stack! Yeah I would like to see the Milwaukee in 18v, hoping to test the 12v though with the HO XC 5.0 soon.
The Bosch is a 12V too. I have a lot of Bosch tools - 12V and 18V - but I got the DeWalt cutoff. It has been great so far. Was just using it today to cut some bolts down.
I bought the DeWalt as in impulse buy during Home Depot Black Friday. Had no idea what I was going to use it for at the time. 😂 Now I'm glad I bought it. I find myself cutting all sorts of things......metal, tile, fiber cement board, etc. It was tool + 6.0AH XR battery + 4.0AH XR battery for $200.
I like your review format! Thanks for the information. No comment on the size? The Bosch looks markedly smaller than the Dewalt - almost like it's a different class of tool... I can't dispute the Dewalt looks way more capable. I'm just thinking the Bosch might have a use-case where precision and one-handed control is the goal.
Was watching this to get an idea on the bosch but I think it sold me on the worx, I have both platforms but the worx is like $60 right now well the bosch is $114. As much as I love the bosch stuff this seems like one of those cases where the cheaper tool hits high enough that its a better value. (for non professional use at home) lol just saved me almost $60!
tried the high output on the M12, don't really see a "huge" difference other than it doesn't overheat as easily. It still kinda sucks as it eats through the battery.
@@Tools-Tested I really don’t know what the deal is. I am starting to think these type of tools are just not great for constant cutting. I was cutting a bunch of 20 g steel for about 5-10 minutes and this thing starts to act on me with the blinking. It happens every time you are down to 2 bars and it activates the overheat protection. I am going to sell it. No point in having it in my tool box.
Correct it’s not a new design, but it’s new for the USA market. It hasn’t been available here until June of this year officially. Just like Makita, Bosch is late in releasing tools to the US market.
Thanks, I'm hoping to get one for other power tools, sadly I have already sold most of these. I would say if your going to do a lot of cutting into metal get the dewalt, other then that the Ridgid is good for the price. I tested the Ridgid in my other video.
Doesn’t the batteries play a huge part of performance especially with how the cells are setup in the batteries and especially with the speeds? Correct me if im wrong wouldn’t the others do better with the same battery as the dewalt? Im just speculating
Yeah it can, really depends on the tool. I tested the M12 with the new 5.0 HO and the performance didn't change similar to the bosch. Im hoping to get the highest performance battery in each brand going forward, but it's hard to keep up lol. Dewalt just released the power stack in a 5AH version and ridgid with the 8 and 12ah. More than likely I need to invest in a variable DC power supply in which I can keep the voltage drop to a minimum, maximizing the performance of just the tool, but thats more $$$$ that I currently don't have.
Soon, hopefully next Sundays video. Im working on making adapters to measure Watt draw from the battery and just finished testing my dyno for rotary tools, I just received the Makita.
I would think so but hard to say without having a Bosch disk, but seeing the 3/8 fit on the Bosch image the 10mm would be ok on the dewalt. It’s crazy this is not a standard instead of 3/8 vs 10mm…
yes they should standardize them dewalt is 9.5 bosch 10 dremel 11.1 is so annoying and dewalt doesnt make too many 3inch disks for the dsc438...@@Tools-Tested
This tool and a dedicated angle grinder are too close in price. The dewalt angle grinders can be had for almost the same price depending on seller This dilemma has me torn. I won't be cutting huge slabs of metal.

Where is the mini cutting machine from metabo?
Be sure to compare 18 volt mini cut-off tools dewalt vs metabo! Please

Just a note voltage doesn't mean more power just look at the dewalt ratchets the 12v beat their 20v
@@loucifer4205 Of course it means more power.
@And Iulian It means more efficient you can use thinner guage wires and smaller motor
Can’t wait for my Dewalt cutting tool to arrive. Ordered it a few days ago. The price has dropped too. Mine was $129 w/ free shipping. 👍
Nice! you will enjoy it! I love mine.

So you are using it more than an angle grinder?
Got my Milwaukee for 99 dollars so I guess I’m sticking with it !

Yeah if you already have works it’s definitely a good value from my tests.
Worx is a pretty darn good platform to invest in actually. Can’t beat the prices and their performance always impresses
Got mine 50 off last week. Saw that price at Do It Best and Acme Tools but it’s since gone back up.
Nice! Im not surprised its a solid tool.
I can’t imagine a worx anything that actually does what they say it does.
lol yep, this was surprising considering the price. The new Bauer looks just like the Worx.
tried the high output on the M12, don't really see a "huge" difference other than it doesn't overheat as easily. It still kinda sucks as it eats through the battery.
Dang, thanks for the info! I was hoping it would maybe boost the performance some.

The Bosch model isn't new. I would say it is the oldest of all battery powered 3" cut off tools.
Correct it’s not a new design, but it’s new for the USA market. It hasn’t been available here until June of this year officially.

@@tannerwest6823 yeah very irritating, just like the 12ah Ridgid battery which is almost a year from when they released it and u still can’t buy one.

Regarding DeWalt... What is the sense of a very big mini angle grinder? I rather go 4.5 or 5 inch in that case.
This tool and a dedicated angle grinder are too close in price. The dewalt angle grinders can be had for almost the same price depending on seller
Dewalt is 20v bosch is 12v
And Worx is made in Germany.
Any plans to stand the Makita DMC300 up against the reigning champ?

@@Tools-Tested Look forward to that! thanks.
Try
Metabo Powermaxx cc
12v version and 18v version
Plan to do the Metabo once the high speed low watt dyno is done.
I know of the 12v version, can seem to find the 18v do you have the model?
Thanks
dewalt bore is 3/8 or 9.5mm while bosh is 10mm. can you use bosh disks on dewalt?

I want this dewalt so bad.
It's a handy tool.
Bosch was 12v compared to 18v DeWalt
Thanks for the video!
No problem!
How come nobody is talking about how Makita doesn’t even make one? It’s like the twilight zone.
They make it you just cant buy it lol, the XCM01. Hopefully we can buy it soon!
Makita just released the new 18v cut off saw DCM300Z.
Im genuinely curious does the dewalt dust guard fits in Bosch too?
Sadly I cant say seeing I sold the Bosch already.
Got the DeWalt and I like it so much that I won't mention that the direction of rotation arrows are wrong. 😱
Lol I didn't even notice that...
Do a video on the cut off tools from all the brands.
Hello I did in video th-cam.com/video/Z_Vs7HSl6ks/w-d-xo.html
Best review. Thanks
No problem, Glad you enjoyed it!

Yeah it really depends, sheet metal I would go cut off tool. Larger metal you might consider the grinder because the disc's for it will be cheaper.
The Dewalt are more bigger and clunky. I prefure the small Bosch. Time is not all.
