    That is not 55 that is a 25 dollar and if you use coupons 35% off after tax about 16.35 dollars and with cash back reward 30% this thing only cost about 11.45 dollars after tax.
    You compare a 11.45 dollars grinder to a tool 198 after tax 215.32dollars which price is 18.8 times higher price than that grinder

    Is it easy to open the battery on the Chinese one and replace the cells? I am fed up of charging for 3 hours and discharging in 5 minutes.

    • @Tools-Tested
      @Tools-Tested  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sadly no it’s not easy, u would need a battery spot welder, soldering gun and the cells. At that point it’s better to buy a different one.

  • @olek912

    It looks that definitelly that this "Chineese" version had fake battery, and this is the source of the problem. I wonder how this tool will behave with Bosch battery, cells replaced from Bosch. As one writhe here it has Brushless motor, so not sure if it can even go "better".

  • @marcoscano7998

    I have one of those chinese fakes. I confirm the weak point are the batteries: even the plastic of the battery itself melts because of the heat. I just rebuild the batteries (I have equipment for that) using 3xSony VTC5 and "fixing" the plastic and it's a complete new tool. Or course, it will never match the Bosch and I had to spend more money and effort, but now it is quite decent. Surprisingly powerfull brushless motor. I suggest you, if you want to eliminate the battery factor in your next videos, to test both machines with a car battery (giving the machine is 12V).

    • @Tools-Tested
      @Tools-Tested  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I was going to do that same thing, but sadly it failed before I could. Hoping to soon have a setup which can provide 12v so we can see the possible maximum power of the tools.

      That’s an interesting idea, but very unrealistic. The reality is that 99% of the people that purchase the knock-off Chinese version will also be using the compatible garbage Chinese batteries. Something that *might* make more sense is to purchase a compatible battery for the Chinese mini grinder and see if the performance improves.
      Also, as an FYI on price, I nabbed the German-made Bosch mini grinder for $79 on an Amazon “Deal of the Day.” Since then, I’ve still seen it under $90 a bunch of times as well.

      hi Marco! it appears you know what are you talking about so here is a question for you. can this cheap battery power tools become 'corded' tools just wiring them to a power adaptor? how do you know how many watts/amps you'd need? thanks mate~

    • @1I2am3Dani4
      @1I2am3Dani4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@rmentat If you can find a power supply that´s able to deliver enough current it´s possible to power the tool without battery, for these small 12V (10,8V) power tools a big LED power supply (somewhere around 200-300W I suppose) should work well enough.

    I also bought mine for only 23 USD, it hasn't arrived yet, I plan to take it apart and fix the critical parts when it arrives.
    Fortunately, because of your effort, I already know in advance which part I need to pay more attention to.

    Looks like the Bosch cut the rebar faster than the Milwaukee cut-off tool you tested previously.
    And I was surprised to see a 3" grinding disc as the other brand tools don't offer those, hence they sell them as cut-off tools.

      Yep and I actually have to retest the Bosch again, It was tested with a 3ah and 6ah. I did find it stranger the cut time was the same with both batteries. Come to find out the 6ah was defective. So the Bosch should do even better.

      Lol. I've been using my harbor freight 4 inch wheels. I would use them on my regular grinder and replace them when they are about 3 inches when they can't reach anymore. It's crazy how the 3 inch wheels cost more than the 4 inch ones.

    You prefer the Bosch or the Milwaukee cut off? I’m looking for a cut off tool. I like the new dewalt one it’s a beast but I don’t have any dewalt batteries or charger. I only have Milwaukee ho m18 and ho m12 plus some Bosch 12v 3ah batteries for my dremel 8250. I purposely bought the Bosch over the dremel batteries so I can buy a 12v bosch tool if the time ever came. I wish Milwaukee made a gen 2 cut off by now along with a fuel rotary tool.

    • @Tools-Tested
      @Tools-Tested  ปีที่แล้ว

      I personally like the Bosch better, both are similar in performance. But the Milwaukee also comes with the dust collector for tile work and the m12 platform is huge. That said I feel the switch and grip feel better on the Bosch.

    I couldn't tell from the video: was the Chinese version actually a brushless motor? Anyway, very cool testing today. I bought into the Bosch 12V ecosystem a couple months ago because of the Dremel 8250. I also bought a couple of cheap Chinese batteries for the hell of it. They spin up my tools, but that's the extent of my testing so far since it took 2 months for them to come in the mail. I'll be sure to try a capacity test soon.

    • @Tools-Tested
      @Tools-Tested  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah surprisingly it actually was brushless. Thanks!
      I will actually be testing the china batterys for bosch 12v next week. I started running the test on the load cell and currently the china version outperformed the OEM bosch.... So I ordered another OEM to see if the results are the same, currently waiting on that to arrive. The m12 vs china batterys will be this weekend.

    •  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Engineers and design offices are based in Europe. Materials are carefully designed to be strong and efficient. Then it is assembled in China with the high-quality protocols of Bosch.
