PTX (short form of the group name) has some original music, but mostly covers. It’s roughly a 30/70 split, but they were teasing a new original album before their tour was postponed. This video was part of their quarantine project: a 6 song EP does with each member in their own homes. They each recorded their part and sent it to the producer, and then recorded the video on their phone and sent it to their video editor.
Pentatonix is an a Capella they rarely use instruments. Scott tall blonde, Mitch short dark hair very high heavenly voice, Kirsten is the middle range, Kevin is the beatbox, Matt is the bass. you may see Avi (Bass) in older videos he left the group in 2017

Kevin is the dopest beatboxer on the planet, and this may be the first song I've ever heard where he wasn't going off!! I would check out their cover of "Gold", their original "Cracked", or any of their Evolution Of.... videos, such as "The Evolution Of Ariana Grande"!!! Enjoy!! You definitely have to check out their other stuff if you want some beats to come in. Kevin sings on some of their songs, but mostly he is their beatboxer. Kevin & Matt are their rhythm section; you will NOT be disappointed. New Rules x Are You That Somebody & Daft Punk are good. If you want some more mellow stuff, try Say Something (Kevin "cello-boxes" in that one). I also love Can't Hold Us and Problem. And many others, but those are my suggestions. I am going to subscribe in hopes you'll do more PTX!
You react to PTX ... the Pentaholics will come in droves. We're a very loyal bunch. Great reaction. As you get into PTX, you'll see they have a rhythm. One will take lead, then the next, and so on. We realize you have to stop occasionally to avoid copyright strikes, but it's best if you can stop at the end of each member's solo, rather than in the middle. It'll be easier on you, and better for the viewer.
I'd say this isn't a typical PTX song, but they do so many different genres that it wouldn't be entirely accurate. I think the best suggestion is to say go to their channel - Ptxofficial- and look around :-) You'll see something you like and it will be fabulous and blow your mind!
