Tell the full grown adults to get a job and buy their own car and quit leeching off their friends. Back seats should be uncomfortable to discourage freeloaders.
I am in Australia and have a 2017 VX v8 diesel. If it was just for city driving it would be a mistake. Get out of the. It’s and off road or tow a caravan then it is incredible. In Australia these are very popular as they are probably the most unbreakable 4x4 available. I lived in The USA for five years and a key difference is that in Australia we have very remote areas so calling for a tow is often not an option so reliability and overall capability is extremely important. Also in Australia we no longer can buy a gas (petrol for Australians) only diesel and it is very efficient as a diesel v8.

Just for the record.....all the competition caught up in price. As of March 2021,,,the Denali, Escalade, Tahoe High Country, Lincoln Aviator, Navigator......ALL in the 80k-90k+ range and WILL NOT last as long. Not to mention, the LC will hold it’s value much better. So, the TOO EXPENSIVE argument no longer applies and you will still get 30k for your CRUISER in 12 years, 150k-200k miles later. Do you think that Escalade is gonna hold it’s value? HELL NO!😂
Toyota’s reliability is based off cars of yester-year. My wife and I have owned lots of Toyotas throughout the years along with GM SUVs such as the Yukon. One really wasn’t any better than the other for reliability. Our new Yukon has exceeded our expectations for comfort which I certainly can’t say about any Toyota. The two Lexus cars we had were fine but outdated.

My 4runner gets 15mpg...stock. So.... 14-18 is not really bad considering how much the 4runner sucks in the power Dept.
In my country, only few types of businessmen using this car. Loggers businesses, and the mafia triad. So u basically safe on road and nobody want to mess around with u. I meant the road bully. But u might get yourself kill for mistaken identity thats all.

The Land Cruiser is built on the same frame as the LX570.

Outdated Toyota?! No such thing... 🙄 that’s the reason I wouldn’t buy a Toyota right now. They’re the Chevy of the import vehicles. They “innovate” for one year and then quickly fall behind because they run the same stuff for decades before updating to current specs.
Actually, it's the policy of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Also, there has to be a long production run to make the R&D involved worth it.

No thanks, the money I lose in fuel I make up for in less expensive engine maintainence. No DEF/ Add Blue fluid to worry about, diesel particulate filters clogging from not getting the re-gen started.
