I’m about to attempt this. When you lifted the frame off the fork, I noticed you put your finger inside the frame. Is that to prevent the bearing ring and other stuff inside from falling out? It looks like the adapter will be the bottom most item in the lower headset and not between anything else. Sorry for the questions but I’m new to mountain biking and would like to change out the stock coil fork my bike has.
Are you sure that isnt gonna fall apart ? It looks like there is a lot of empty space there and it doesn’t fit snugly. Also isnt there bearings that go on the bottom. Just asking because I have not seen many videos on this exactly and I’m thinking if doing it to my bike. Thank you.

I have a tapered frame but not a big budget for a fork. I am looking at the Suntour Epixon but most sellers dont have it tapered. I found one on ebay that is tapered but only 100mm and i think im just going to adjust the travel of it to 120mm. These adapters are confusing. I dont want to get into that. 😬😑

Ndi ko naisip na kelangan pag taperred frame dapat tapered din ang fork. Nabili ko na bago ko nlaman na ndi pla sila swak. Question sir, iba2 ba ang sizes ng adapter o standard na sya?
Isn't there a bearing missing at the bottom of headtube that should sit on top the adapter and rest on a race inside the headtube?

this will destroy the bearings, it puts pressure on the wrong place, you really need a bottom cup

You need an adapter including the bearing dude..
No need dude, the bearing is already there. Just the adapter for the fork to make it big enough and copy the size of the tapered fork.
