My two youngest have always shared a room. They still do, one just turned 11 and my youngest will be 8 in July. We went ahead and purchased a quality bunkbed set that could be taken apart and used as seperate twin beds. We did this until my youngest was 4. Just bc he was a wild little man and I was always nervous about him climbing and jumping. OH BOY!! When I trusted him not to climb we put them up. They are still used and very loved. And my boys are the best of friends, they do have their siblings moments though.

You are great when the kids are trying to be with mom and you’re trying to get stuff done!! They do grow up fast and you do miss it! My boys are 16 and 14 and I have no idea where the time went
As overwhelming as it can be sometimes, I always think about how much I'll miss it. I really just wish they'd stay little forever!

Yesterday was my soul sucking day, my two year old daughter was melting down at everything and I had so much laundry to do, my dishes were piled up and I literally wanted to turn off my lights in every room and go to the store with my kids lol
Those days can be so tough! It's nice to know we're not alone in having these days! 🥰
You should get bunk beds definitely, me and my sister have been sharing a room for 14 years and we just each wanted to not have a bunk bed. So, the bunk bed will last a very long time! Also, a way for them to have their own space is getting loft beds, which I would definitely recommend!

I would say your kids are too young for bunk beds. I like the idea of a double or queen bed that they share, or twin beds with drawers underneath. You did a huge amount of work today. Congratulations!

Hey Becky, when my daughters were younger they shared a room with separate beds, it gave them a little of their own space and it was easier when they did get separate rooms to move them. Your son room looks great!

My house is a complete tip, normally I do all the housework when my daughter is at school but the housework has fallen behind a lot while she's doing home schooling. We've completed her history this morning so I'm going to start on the house while she does Computing, which she won't need my help with. X

Bunkbeds give a lot more floor room than two separate beds would. Especially in a small house. My daughter got a couple large things for Christmas too and we make it work in her tiny room. Those prego pillows are so comfy! I like the pillow case that was on it. I suffer from depression and when the soul sucking day happens, my boyfriend takes over for me.
So true about the bunk beds! I suffer from anxiety, I know it's different, but I do understand how difficult it can be! That's so nice that your boyfriend takes over 😊
Honestly I don't understand why in all USA houses are carpet floors. It is a lot of work!

Both my kids are in the same room. My daughters only 10 months so still in her cot but we do have bunk beds for when she’s ready for a big bed. My son loves the bunk beds xx

Hey Becky. Good morning ❤️❤️. My house looks just like this 😂😂😂😂. So I’m here getting some motivation love. We purchased a bunk bed for my boys but I feel like they aren’t ready yet, so they are just separate beds at the moment.
Good morning!! ❤️ Glad I'm not alone! Lol That's probably what we'll do too! Separate beds at first and get the "stackable" bunk beds 😆
Tips for decluttering: do Marie Kondos method. And if you're sentimentally attached to clothes, aren't good at letting go or whatever, don't give them away instantly. Put them into a box that you keep for one month or a little longer and if you didn't think of the stuff and didn't wear it, you get the final sign that you can let it go and let someone else have joy with it and also let the things get appreciated again. 🦋🙏🏼🌻
Or you can also leave clothes on hangers in the closet but always put the hangers in the opposite way so you can see which clothes you wear and which you don't. It's soooo much easier and fun to have less clothes. Doing laundry makes fun again ^^ because you really just have the things you need and love
Loved Marie Kondo's book "The life-changing magic of tidying up" I often use her method for decluttering 🤗

A little tp that saved me time when shampooing my carpet is to get a tough brisseled broom (like really tough) and just comb the carpet with it to gather the hair. Takes five minutes and saves a lot of time and you'll notice your carpet cleaner spits out less fuzz/hair! It's because I noticed vacuums just don't gather hair as well.

if the room is big enough definitely separate beds, and I would suggest to give them beds with their own drawers underneath so they can feel like they have their own personal spaces.

I get it, being a stay at home mom is hard. Being a work from home mommy is even harder. Hello I am 67yrs old I have mixed feelings about Bunk Beds I have 3 children when they were having to share a bedroom there ages were 4-6-9.i walked into there room and just about dead! They were jumping off the top bunk to the twin bed no one was hurt they were sad that I took there fun away 😞But I explained how they could get hurt I’ll never forget there look on there faces when they came to me and said that they were very sorry and won’t do it again. ❤️🙏 Congratulations on the up coming Baby many Blessings 😇❤️
My parents had a four poster bed with high head and foot boards, and we used to jump off them onto the mattress all the time! Fortunately the angels were watching over us and no one was hurt :-)

My 2 boys share a room and we tried bunk beds. I love them because they are perfect for kids sharing a room..however changing the sheets is soo hard 😂 and my kids honestly didn’t like them. So we just took the bunk beds apart and have 2 beds In the room
My husband was actually the one who suggested bunk beds and I told him if we do end up with bunk beds I refuse to change the top bunk, he can do it... I can't even imagine 🤣

My 4 yr old daughter and 2 ye old son currently share a room and if we didn’t have slanted ceilings in their room bunk beds would have definitely been our choice. We have baby #4 coming in May (3rd boy) and eventually our 2 year old and this one will share a room but not for at least a year.

I’d love if you shared some advice on how you successfully go on a cleaning spree with kids. Especially when your kids were younger! I have a 2 year old and a 4 month old and I STRUGGLE to clean when they are awake.
My best advise would be to clean in intervals! 10 min here and there, get the 2 year old involved if possible, even with simple things. Baby wear the 4 month old. It can definitely be a struggle, especially when you just want to peacefully clean for a couple hours. Just do what you can when you can and be proud of absolutely anything you accomplished!!

Have u ever tried a carpet rake? You would be surprised what ur vacuum doesn't pick up...vacuum then take a carpet rake over the floor and it will bring all that dog hair up before u use the carpet cleaner.

When our kids were 2 and 5 they had bunk beds we moved now they are a year older and they wanted them separated but they did just fine no reason why it would be ok.
