Thank you for pointing out the lighting. My house is surrounded by trees, and I couldn’t figure out why my paint sample kept turning green! This is a huge tip.
I'm so glad you finally did SW Pure White! I have that in our primary bedroom and bath, and I love it. Thinking about it for a whole house interior color. The builder did SW Shell White, and it's a little too creamy/parchment-y for me. :) I've done dark colors before, and I want to keep it light, light but still have a bit of contrast with the trim. BM Classic Gray is another one I'm thinking about. Thanks for doing Pure White!
Awesomeness, thank you for the kind words! BM Classic Gray is a beautiful light warm gray. Sometimes it can lean like a cool gray. I wish you the best and thank you for sharing:)
very thorough- wish i had seen this before repainting the entire massive bonus room, ceiling and trim. I’ll have to make it work but am going to have to get a new carpet and having trouble deciding on a carpet color.
Jacob is the only TH-cam consultant that discusses the effect of window tint on paint! For months I have been testing various off whites that turned green. After this video sunk in, I finally held a Samplize of Pure White (for trim) in front of an open window. In front of the open window it looked fine but when I turned and held it in front of the glass side it looked green. Pay attention to the seasons when selecting paint. If it is winter and windows are closed or summer when windows are open, results will be different in the other season. Where I live window tint is essential, it keeps paint, furniture, photos and art from fading, and affects a/c needs. Please mention this little known concept in more of your videos when you discuss lighting. So far as I can tell, to mitigate this you need to choose a lower LRV paint, like mid-60s or less. Great job Jacob! I doubted but now I’m a believer.
Thank you:) It’s been awhile, been busy with clients. Super excited about what’s to come this year as I will be going more in depth about how to incorporate colors.
Awesome video. I was going to go with Pure White with my Light french grey. Now, im thinking of Snow white or high reflective white gor trims, door and cabinets.
Great content! I’d love to hear your thoughts on SW prepackaged high hide white as found in Emerald trim urethane, there’s no info about it anywhere 🤷🏻♂️ Are you familiar with it or the Emerald “ultra white”?
I’m looking for views of colors for dark brown furniture, red and gold floor, gold carpet cherry wood nook with open flooring of dining south and living room north sharing north and south windows across from each other 😢. Just moved in house and north walls is blue 😢
This didn't work for me. I used renew grey on my walls and pure white for my trim. When the trim paint dried it was grey I am very unhappy because I wanted white trim and thats not what I got
ONE COLOR PACKAGE MEANS FULL HOUSE PAINT COLOR CONSULTATION WITH JACOB IN ONE COLOR? I am confused and would like to clarify before booking my appointment with him. How long do they give you an appointment?

Looking for alternatives Sherwin Williams or Dunn Edwards paint to Benjamin Moore Light Pewter 1464 for our exterior paint. Do you have any good suggestions? Thanks!!
my walls will be blank canvas (behr) which claims to be a neutral but I feel reads warm. I am looking for a trim color that compliments it but is brighter so I have a nice contrast but not stark white ...any suggestions...example: I tried behr whipped cream against it and it was too stark..

Welcome back! I've missed your videos. I've not tried Pure White, using Alabaster here but this has me thinking of undertones again.

White snow has a hint of yellow. I wish you the best!
PLEASE REVIEW WHITE SAIL BY SHERWIN WILLIAMS!
Love your videos!
What’s the best white for a small family room with a little natural light? I also want to pair it with a black accent wall.
Do yourself a favor and don't get a "sample"... get two quarts and paint (virtually) one entire wall to really know how it will look.
yep. 100% agreed
