In Nov. 2023 our small group embarked on a creative journey at Atelier Ricca's Yubinuki workshop in Kyoto, Japan. We transformed a traditional Japanese thimble into a wearable piece of art!
Under the patient guidance of Ricca-san (her real name is Nozomi-san though), the atelier's owner and our delightful instructor, we dove into the world of Yubinuki. Despite the initial challenges, her warm demeanor and clear instructions made the process not just enjoyable but surprisingly achievable for a group of first-time learners, even without a strong grasp of Japanese.
