    You do need the correct seats. The correct seat will have the arm rest flip down on the right side. I know, I've done the exact same thing. Real good upgrade

      You're right, the captains seats with the fold down arm rests would be ideal. Hopefully I'll come across some eventually!

    LOL peek-a-boo cuteness overload at the end of the video!

    You can make that sub work with a different amp

    • @MohawkMotors
      @MohawkMotors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes absolutely. Just not something I plan to do with this truck.

    Do you need to switch the piece under the steering column also?

    • @MohawkMotors
      @MohawkMotors  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, that piece is the same.

    How did you take of the subwoofer box out great video would be much appreciated on feedback as soon as possible

    • @MohawkMotors
      @MohawkMotors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You pretty much have to take the entire console apart. Remove, the lid, side covers, inside liner, air duct, all the philips head screws, amplifier, etc. The whole thing has to come apart to get the subwoofer box out.

    would you recommend doing the same console on a ext. cab or do a 2010-11 center console swap

    • @MohawkMotors
      @MohawkMotors  ปีที่แล้ว

      This console is actually originally from an extended cab. They were very common in the extended cab trucks and I think are a great addition in those also. I've seen lots of people swap the 2010-2011 flip down consoles also that look and function great! I think it's really just a matter of personal preference. Both are great options.

    Did you change the plastic piece under the steering wheel?

    • @MohawkMotors
      @MohawkMotors  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The little knee panel? Yes, changed that also.

    is it possible to make the ac work in the rear?

    • @MohawkMotors
      @MohawkMotors  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      yes, all you would need to do is pull the lower ducting and climate control housing out of a truck that originally had a console and rear seat, like an extended cab or crew cab truck.

    Did you replace driver side lower console?

    • @MohawkMotors
      @MohawkMotors  หลายเดือนก่อน

      yes, but you don;t have to. The knee panel on the driver side is the same between full console and non console.

    Hey bud i already have the full center console but mine doesnt have the ducts what all would i need to swap it for the one with vents?

    • @MohawkMotors
      @MohawkMotors  ปีที่แล้ว

      To replace your console with one with vents, just swap them out and get the correct duct for under the dash to feed them from a junkyard.

    Hey dude great job,but is it really safe for your daughter to be wondering around your mini junkyard?😮Lots of sharp edges everywhere. Just sayin.

      Really? That little girl will probably grow up and forget more about working on cars than most people will ever know . . . All from wondering around a mini junkyard and spending quality time with her dad.

      Hey thank you! I appreciate your concern for my kids, and here's my perspective.
      First, and probably the most REAL reason. Statistically, Car Crashes, Suffocation, and Drowning are the 3 most common causes of serious injury to children in that order. Based on that information I'm putting my kids in more danger when I buckle them into their car seat for a drive, than letting them play in the mini junkyard.
      Second, there's always an adult close by, either myself, my wife, or another trusted family member. If something were to happen they would be taken care of right away.
      Third, they have proven over the last few years that they are far more likely to trip and scrape their knee or bust their chin walking down the driveway than they are to get hurt playing in or around the mini junkyard. Kids are kids, they're going to get some bumps and bruises and cuts and scrapes, maybe even some broken bones, it's part of how they learn about the world.
      Both of my kids help me work on cars and trucks regularly, it's time we enjoy spending together, and it's time that I can teach them. I teach them how things work, how to problem solve, engineering, math, leverage, simple machines, patience, perseverance, systems, cause and effect, and so much more. Like any parent I take the time to point out potential hazards any time they are present. My kids know there is potential hazard and they are cautious of those hazards, both when they are helping me, and when they are playing.
