Really? I’m not seeing it. I played piano from 6 to 14 then quit because of my emo phase. I’m 21 now and am trying to relearn it in quarantine. I’m also a math major. According to you guys, this shit should come easy, but I’m not having an easy time at all. How do you find the three relate in terms of practice?
@@Kuribohdudalala Sure the patterns and timings overlap quite a bit regarding music and games. Memorization and a sort of "flow" state translates as well. Again patterns are very important but associating space and velocity with real numbers (frames) is a fantastic bridge to various types of math. Statistics, probability are huge and obvious parts of both as well. Don't get me wrong though, playing Street fighter every day won't make you a musician or an accountant, skills and mental abilities simply overlap and make things easier. You sound like you are having quite a bit of trouble and might need some support and the fact that you are looking even in YT comment sections for answers is unironically awesome man. Like music or math or games, keep practicing, keep grinding, and you will figure it out.
Urgh, this Season Pass 3 wait is KILLING ME. Sure, the game’s in a good place now with the new addition of Online Lobbies and Full Crossplay (now that Sony’s decided to play ball), but the game could be *_even better_* with things like, of course: - More characters (Rita Repulsa (original and 2017 versions), Ivan Ooze, etc.) - More stages - New Offline mode - New Megazord summons - New gameplay additions and rebalances - Museum/Gallery (?) Pretty much all I’ve got, but yeah, this game’s f’in AMAZING with its rollback online, and its Rangers brand status gives it the customer’s advantage (millennials love Power Rangers). Such a great budget fighter at less than $40
fidus00 Difficult to say which modes should be added, since BFTG is a 3v3 fighter, and games like Marvel vs. offer only Arcade, Versus, Online, and Training. Perhaps Trials similar to SF4/5 and MvC’s Mission Mode? Time Attack and Survival Mode? Pretty much all I can think of, unless nWay’s got something major planned for BFTG to keep players invested offline.

Hey I'm trying to learn 2d fighting games but I've only ever played super smash bros, is there a good intro game or TH-cam tutorial series that can teach me about basic controls/ combo structure/ neutral? I've been feeling pretty lost looking at this different sub genre so if anyone could point something out I'd appreciate it
When it come to picking a game I highly recommend not looking at wether or not a game is a good introduction but instead find what looks cool/fun to you. I actually share your same background as someone who started playing fgs with Smash but then moved to more “traditional” fgs in the fgc. personally I started with blazblue and guilty gear because they looked so cool. If you want to watch a single video that shows off a little bit of some modern fgs I recommend Maximilian dood’s video comparing fgs to food. Once you pick a game you should then try and join a discord for it.
What game are you playing?If it’s a more current game it should have a pretty decent tutorial system built in to teach the very basic especially if it’s an arc system game.

@@MrCowman57 some of my buddies told me to check out KI so I downloaded it but it seemed like you had to buy each character individually and none of them really looked appealing to me so I was gonna try to find a different game. I started doing the tutorial for it anyway and it was explaing a lot of the extremely basic stuff but it didn't really feel like more than just "this is the light punch button, hold down and back to block low" but I haven't finished the tutorial so idk how much more in depth it gets
Hank Kern sorry I dont know that much about ki but a lot of the stuff carries over like the idea to hold down back to block low and mid attack and high to block jump ins and overhead. That’s in every 2d fighter.

My brother told me he uses the same concept for learning combos when he's learning a new song or does a math problem it pretty wild honestly.
