I really need to hear what is the counter from zerg: - not lings as they get autoattacked and even if they connect the ghosts can cloak after sniping any detection - banes maybe as if you can get them close enough (good luck) - not infestors as you have to get lucky with the terran not looking in their direction just to get a chance to take out the ghosts - not vipers as they get sniped before they can pull like straight up there is no single other unit that hard counters almost everything from two out of three races in the game

It's to much, I think non light damage bonus and more expensive in term of price/supply is enough. We don't have to forget that ghost IS Terran's lategame. if ghost is nerfed to the ground, Terran will be crushed in lategame no matter what. Unless if other units like bc/thor get a up.

Looks like Zerg is having a hard time since the Serral nerfs, lol. Between Reynor, Shin & Serral they've went 1 to 11 in favor for Clem & Oli. I've seen S&R try so many different strategies too! The only thing that worked was a baneling cheese that caught Clem off guard. Nothing seems to be effective against the Reaper/Hellion/Tanks/M/M/M/ghost/liberator. I'm curious to see the next patch changes.
What were the serral nerfs? I'm trying to learn Zerg but everything Terran has hard counters everything zerg has with 0 effort. Tons of invisibility, splash, long range high damage options, and minimal micro¯o requirements, vs zerg with poor visibility options, soft clumpy units, low range, and large micro¯o requirements. If I don't win in the first 10 minutes, which rarely happens because the game is so defensively tuned, I might as well quit the match.

Ghost already got nerfted. They also lose to broodlord infestor, it's just that Reynor make some mistakes with his broodlord control. I would argue that with all the tournaments wins that Zerg had for the last 6 years, they should buff Protoss a bit more instead of nerfing Terran.

It took a few months, but Terrans finally realized that the double baneling nerf, intended to balance the PvZ matchup, destabilized the TvZ matchup because the only thing pre-nerf Zerg could ever do against Ghosts is mass banelings and pray for a good connection, unless your name is Serral and you have a preternatural ability to avoid the detection of anyone not named Clem with your infestors, or your name is Dark and you're not even playing Starcraft but spending your entire life living rent-free in your opponent's head, and now that one semi-stable late-game strategy is over, making ghost-lib and spooky mech just too easy for Terrans to pull off. It's not just game balance, either: two maps are heavily Terran-favored right now, and another two are modestly Terran-favored. The party line has been that the game is balanced, and it really is better than it was a few years ago, but now that Dark is out for awhile and Serral is not getting the time to show up for much it's clear that the two of them were masking that Zerg has just been over-nerfed in the last 18 months.
I kinda agree, I wouldn't mind seeing them try something to make ghosts less of the end-all be-all versus zerg. Making Ghosts light to make them more vulnerable to Banelings could be one possibility. Another would be reworking their auto attack to be less good against Zerglings somehow so that Zerglings actually counter Ghosts better. Maybe have Ghosts only get their bonus damage to light units against targets that are 3 or more units away, which would make them just as good as they currently are against Zerglings from a distance, but once the swarm is upon them, they're absolutely screwed (which IMO, is exactly how a fight between some stealthy snipers and a horde of Zerglings SHOULD go). Finally, maybe roll back *some* of the refund on cancelled Steady Targeting. It used to refund none, now it refunds all of it...maybe only have it refund 25? That way there's actually a penalty for letting your opponent cancel it other than missing out on a few auto attacks.
Ghosts need balancing indeed. They counter everything and they even counter their counter, the Overseer which is as easy to snipe than the rest. Make ghosts light for banelings purpose or make snipe more expensive.

They also counter all your spellcasters, to the point where their true counter is infestor neural for the reason Winter kept begging for the entire game: you can neural a ghost, then emp all the opponent's ghosts with it. If a unit counters itself, counters all the enemy's specialized units, and also holds its own in every direct engagement, the unit is definitely overtuned. The only way to counter a ghost ball is to catch them off guard with an infestor, and even then the infestor *will* die, along with dozens of other units as the ghosts still have a strong auto-attack and decent hp (it takes 5 banelings to kill a ghost).
Though I don't enjoy watching Ghosts dominate a long lategame turtling..... When it's Oliveira I can't help but root for him. Want to see the Normal Man win the next tournament please~

That Mothership buff is overdue indeed ! Aslight buffs to Void Rays like + 25 more shields and hp wouldn't break the game imo! Also Hightemplar movement speed needs a slight buff aswell ! They're too slow , same for Colossus, the game is FAST paced, and yet P feels so incredibly slow compared to T or Z !

Out of 100 snipes in a ZvT lategame, only 90 will Hit because some units were fast enough to run out of Range without any consequences. Those nerfs have way more of an impact than the Ghost nerf. The Problem is that they are massable because zerg has absolutely 0 counter to them. Not only was Blizzard slow to act, but they only cared about pro players when balancing the game, which made the game incredibly frustrating to play outside of pro play. Zerg and Terran have equal amount of mining bases: zerg loses very hard and very decisively. Zerg has 50% more mining bases: a long drawn out fight where the zerg slowly try to claw their way to victory.

Isn't it something wrong with the game balance if the Terran players win 80/90% of all games featured here? I look at the end of the video first and if it is a casting of another Terran victory, I don't watch it. The game seems to be broken and no one is there to fix the imbalance.
A patch would be nice, a new map pool would be huge. It's been six months, which is concerning. Ghosts have needed a tweak for years, it's almost like that's out of the question for some reason. Part of the issue is half the top 10 ranking is Terran players with near flawless macro and micro. Balance that and suddenly Terrans are demanding a buff. Clem and BYuN make it look worse than it is, Olie isn't far behind on a good day.
@@10manan Well banelings definitely don't do enough damage to Ghosts, watching them face-tank 2 or 3 of them is so frustrating, so to that degree sure that's fair. It doesn't feel good to play against or to watch, maybe knock 10hp and 10% cost off those jerks. Really though, if any race has the right to be upset with the state of the game, I'd say it's Protoss.
I cannot believe all the mistakes and all the passive gameplay from Zerg. No attempt to Neural EMP, no nydus, no bane mines. Every advantage, up in supply, up in mining, just sits back and waits for Terran to recover. Tragic.

@@Hellafast2uDudeYeah, that's true but at least there's splash damage. you might be able to connect. Ultras if they can get in close kills them, but good luck if the opponent has any type of skill. Infestors sure, but with unlimited scans they usually get caught and destroyed before even getting close before a fight.

Isn't it something wrong with the game balance if the Terran players win 80/90% of all games featured here? I look at the end of the video first and if it is a casting of another Terran victory, I don't watch it. The game seems to be broken and no one is there to fix the imbalance.

A patch would be nice, a new map pool would be huge. It's been six months, which is concerning. Ghosts have needed a tweak for years, it's almost like that's out of the question for some reason. Part of the issue is half the top 10 ranking is Terran players with near flawless macro and micro. Balance that and suddenly Terrans are demanding a buff. Clem and BYuN make it look worse than it is, Olie isn't far behind on a good day.

@@10manan Well banelings definitely don't do enough damage to Ghosts, watching them face-tank 2 or 3 of them is so frustrating, so to that degree sure that's fair. It doesn't feel good to play against or to watch, maybe knock 10hp and 10% cost off those jerks. Really though, if any race has the right to be upset with the state of the game, I'd say it's Protoss.
@@pierrenilsson6189 pro play makes the ghosts look broken. I have never lost a ZvT to a Terran making ghosts (diamond 3). The unit is fine.
What a basic display of performance by reinor in games 1 and 2, in the first Game no broolords, and then in the second Game, dreadfull broolords used.
I cannot believe all the mistakes and all the passive gameplay from Zerg. No attempt to Neural EMP, no nydus, no bane mines. Every advantage, up in supply, up in mining, just sits back and waits for Terran to recover. Tragic.
