So, do you live and work in Thailand as well? Do you combine it with work as an expat or did you go to Thailand on your own to pursue the passion for Muay Thai? How long will you stay in Thailand? What work do you do? I heard some Westerners teach English to the Thai people.
Definitely would love the full training video and after watching your videos I’m looking at starting Muay Thai bit nervous tho and as a 44 year old thinking I’m too old… anyway keep up the great work always look forward to your uploads
thats awesome to hear! 🎉 I would even start Muay Thai if I'd be 60, it improves so many areas in my life, I won't ever miss it 😄 just give it a try or any other martial arts that is close to your hometown
Hey there! Felt I needed to adress your worries. Im 43, and have been training Muay Thai now since january this year, so 9 months. Not too late! Ive been training almost daily since then and now Im even thinking of maybe trying a fight or two next year. Something I definitely thought I was too old for before I tried it. However, it is physically demanding of course, I don´t know your fitness level. Either way, it will make you fit, no doubt. Try it at least. It´s not like you have to train to compete. As long as you have the personality for improving yourself, or think that you might have, Im sure you will enjoy it.
You're such a beast Michael. Here is an idea for you. Try a sparring match using only your elbows and knees. You can use your hands to protect and block but only the knees and elbows to strike. No kicking or punching. This will force you to master the knees and elbows.
That boxing tip is interesting i never thought of that, probably im doing that wrong too haha great video keep it up, living in Thailand seems so chill :).
Oh i wish but the tickets are so expensive, we are saving money with my gf and hopefully next year we can do it! ^^ love the thai people and their culture.
Thanks Riyan my man 💯 I'm sure you have it on your list already 😁 avoid coming down there at Oct and Nov, the rain these months is crazy... enjoy BKK bro 🔥
hi michael. i was wating for your new video. pleace show the fol training. and your last fight you didnt show as the video. we are wating. good luck bro.
Make me so happy i lived one year in koh phangan 15 years ago 2 x times a day training and for the rest enjoy the island i always told myself i will retire on koh phangan still hoping it will be so 🙏 enjoy sir from every moment it will bring you to difficult times in the future thinking of your time in koh phangan
Before the corona, this was my life. Now I want to go back. Hope everything is open and normal again. Practicing Thai boxing in Thailand is paradise on earth. I am happy.
Unfortunately not. I am also new in the sport 9 months like you but I have gym mates who did and I also know him from old video fights Nice videos by the way I enjoy watching your journey. If are you in Koh Pangan i would say go and make a session with Pascal Schroth at maa. I would love to see it
@@atillaandrei4213 Pascal is also awesome! You know the game bro, very nice 😊 And thank you for your words, are we connected on ig already? So I can follow YOUR journey too 🔥
If you plan on stopping by Koh Samui while you're in the area, definitely drop by Lamai Muaythai and check out the 4pm fighter's class for a few rounds of sparring.
I asked you a gym recommendation a week ago and now you're posting this vide. That's awesome! Let's connect in November! Out of curiosity, did you get a long term visa through language school, muay Thai or you're doing visa runs? We're planning to stay there for 5 months but I heard that you can only do 2 visa runs after the first extension which gives a total of 4 months (2 x 30 days + 2 x extension of 30 days)
Everything with the flow 😄 With 5 months I think the visa runs are okay and much cheaper. The 6-month long term visas are running out of business, everyone focuses on selling (and also buying) the 1 year. Making a visa run will cost you about 1,900 baht for a organisation who brings you there by bus and helps you manage it. (Not sure if there is only 2 runs allowed, I'm hearing that the first time... but if thats a problem just stay longer in the other country, about a few days or a week and enjoy the time there. Than it's still "travelling" and doesn't look like a classic 10min boarder run 😄) I'm going for the language visas, wouldn't recommend a Muay thai visa for several reasons. Enjoy the trip mate! 😍
Its not a flexibility issue you got with the kicks. you need to point the toes on the standing food 90+ degrees outwards then you can open your hip and chop the kick in from the side instead of a straight upwards motion.
Hey bro - I'm new to Muay Thai and my kicks suck to - what was the kru explaining when you were doing pads with him? Was he trying to get your kicks rounder and hips turning over?
Im uploading soon the session, there you can hear it 👍 1. Pivot your standing leg 2. Turn the hip 3. Lift up your leg 4. Don't "snap" like I did, try to kick through the target and make like a bow
Hi new to channel 😊 sorry to,hear about this man harassing you.. I’m 47 I am going to come train for first time just for fitness. Do u have to spar at gym is it mandatory as I just want to do this for fitness thank u 🙏🏻

Hell yeah man. I've been watching these in anticipation for my own trip to Thailand.

Elbows and knees are not allowed in sparring 😖 But I will try to use it more in my next fight! Thank you
Santos is the brother of Nokweed Devy. A famous muay thai fighter who fought Jerome le banner (105kg) in K1 while he was just 72kg
Wow I have to see that fight 😄

Great videos. Do you remember the name of the place you stayed in Phetchaburi?
Hey my man! "Suk Samer Homestay" on booking.com 😊
Before the corona, this was my life. Now I want to go back. Hope everything is open and normal again. Practicing Thai boxing in Thailand is paradise on earth. I am happy.
Sounds great, how long you been in Thailand? Everything is fine now, no quaratines, no cvd-pass needed, everything normal again =)
Great!I have been traveling and training in Thailand on and off for ten years! @@muaymichael
Kru Santos it’s a legend. One of the best fighters from golden era

Heard many positive things about Lamai! Great advice thanks
Can you please do a video about visas ? I dream of doing 1 year Muy Thai visa in Chiangmai Mai and 1 har in Bangkok the year after

You have to try training in Bali olso.
What gym you recommend? 😄
Soma fight club or Bali MMA 😀
I only boxed at BaliMMA - but they have epic coaches and vibes. Real good crew of people from all over the world.
Its not a flexibility issue you got with the kicks. you need to point the toes on the standing food 90+ degrees outwards then you can open your hip and chop the kick in from the side instead of a straight upwards motion.
I will work on that 🙏 If I get my kicks right I am an absolute weapon 😄
