Hello team, thank you for this episode murikutionesa zvakawanda. But I think the end wasn’t really proper Counselling. It seemed to be a continuation of the pre-results discussion. My view is that counselling should address the emotional aspect of each party after the results. I think this can only be achieved if the discussion is on a one to one basis. In many instances, confidential counselling produces positive outcomes. Having the two together in that session will only perpetuate the animosity that arises after the tests results. In this case, the mother continues to be in denial and she really needs help and support. In a one to one session, behind the scenes, she will probably accept reality and a way forward can be found. She should not be made to look guilty in front of the cameras because the husband is equally responsible for the whole situation. It appears that he lied to her from the beginning and continued to lie in the interview. If the parties are willing, please let your initial counselling be on a one to basis in order to address the inner feelings of each party, especially the losing party, then discuss with both together if need be, on the way forward. Hongu kodzero ye mwana is paramount but neither party should be left in a vulnerable situation. That way, Closure or Peace of Mind can be achieved in total. As you have done before, I am sure you can revisit some of these compelling cases, such as this one, to establish if Closure was really achieved. These are just my views. Mazvita.
At the end the man in charge of counseling mentioned that he will keep on meeting the couple to discuss their issues so since he is a professional I guess these are the stages that he should take and if their facts align they move on judging with the progress made.
I also thought the counselling session was supposed to first try to get the mother to understand DNA tests and how they work because she is obviously ignorant or in denial. This is important so that she understands the situation she is in. After this the next thing is to help them map a way forward.

Financial burden to the parents once these children start attending school. If the parents cannot afford to take them It may lead to dropping out of school and they will not reach their full potential. 2. Promiscuity in both participants putting their lives at risk (healthwise). HIV is still very prevalent in subsaharan Africa. Incidences being on the rise in adolescents and young adults. Education is important to alleviate this problem More as well... Hopefully with each episode the participants may get them the help they need.

1. 3 children for the woman. All under the age of 3years. Already a problem health wise for her and for the children. Financial burden to the parents once these children start attending school. If the parents cannot afford to take them It may lead to dropping out of school and they will not reach their full potential.
2. Promiscuity in both participants putting their lives at risk (healthwise). HIV is still very prevalent in subsaharan Africa. Incidences being on the rise in adolescents and young adults. Education is important to alleviate this problem
