    Absolutely stunning place! Thank you for taking us there! I really really enjoy how Mr. Boo has such a patient and humorous personality when things don't go quite as planned. What a lovely lady to give you two such a personalized tour of her lavender garden and views....amazing drone shots! ...These little excursions make me want to come to France! And, how inconsiderate of that bus driver?!! Boooooo.... I would have been swearing like a broke sailor outside a pub had that been me! 😇 Hope you two went for a nice dinner and a glass of vino after that upset...!

      @@MeandMonAmi Maybe, if space permits, you and Mr. Boo could have a little cool bag with some nibbles/drinks just for when those French restaurants/cafe's are notoriously closed in the middle of the day?? Might also be a prudent idea just in case you two are stranded somewhere, Heaven forbid!...Tim, this was one of the most beautiful (and hilarious!) videos you and Mr. Boo have made...I especially loved the comment about the 'lovers view' being in the bushes! ha ha ha...

    Hi lads from Spain. It is currently 37° with a feels like of 38° Looks very nice - We have been to Holbeach in Norfolk which is also famous for its lavender fields. Here, the nearby town where we go for shopping has some roadside flower beds next to Lidl with a lot of lavender and later, when the council cuts the bushes back, one can get as much as one wants - great for lavender bags to keep moths at bay, provided one doesn't mind smelling like an old lady with her velvet and lace.

    Beautiful filming. Lovely moment when Mr Boo told you to calm down before you commenced driving nice to see him looking after you. Just another thing you drive very well and driving an Ami is like driving an automatic car no difference. Therefore if you take your test in an automatic in France you will pass with flying colours and can get something that has more power to drive to more distant locations. • @MeandMonAmi

    now i have checked the region you guys are in, i think of this place not too far from you guys (but mostlikely too far to get to with the Ami)

    They have a pink lake over there, is quite a sight.

      @MeandMonAmi  ปีที่แล้ว

      I shall look it up Bert!

    • @bertjesklotepino
      @bertjesklotepino ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MeandMonAmi I guess it is way too far for you guys. The town itself is one of the best preserved middle age fortified towns in France. Maybe even in Europe. Wonderful old stuff over there.
      The lake itself is just a square puddle basically, but it is a nice view when it is pink.
      I remember it from my youth, 30 or so years ago.
      I was hinted to its existence again by a guy on TH-cam, Tim Traveler.
      He shows it in his video which he published a day or so ago.
      English guy with lots of nice videos of nice regions and stuff.
      Anyway, keep em nice videos coming, sir.
      This one was a very nice video.
      One last suggestion if i may:
      Install a rail or something ontop of the roof, and carry with you a nice reflective tarp.
      Then you can just drape the tarp over the roofrack, and tighten it with a rope.
      To keep the heat out.
      OR: you got these curtainthinggies in a rail which you can install on the inside of a window. And you can then pull it down the rail.
      You could easily install such inside the Ami, so you can then easily pull it closed to keep the sun out.
      Personally i would go for a roof rack over which i can throw/drape/hang (im still dutch) a reflective tarp. White, like a party tent.
      And when i park it, i would throw it over it to cover the windows and the roof obviously, and tie it down to the rims of the wheels.
      You will keep a lot of heat out that way.
      If you can keep the sun from heating the steeringwheel, the dashboard, the seats etc etc, it will feel a lot cooler even if the air inside is a bit hot..... the air can blow out with an open window. But the heat that is stored in the dashboard and such keeps radiating even with an open window.
      Sorry to again have written you a book, sir. But, i think you are getting used to that by now. And if not, so be it.
      I needed to warm up the fingers.

    • @bertjesklotepino
      @bertjesklotepino ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MeandMonAmi the nice thing about a partytent tarp is that it has 4 long legs which can be ideal to tie it down to a car.
      They are in my mind great car covers for sunny days. Or even in winter when it snows and you wanna get rid of the white as quickly as possible.

    Why is it called a wind screen when there is no mesh. It’s a windshield, right?

      @ziggarillo ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a windscreen, it screens you from the wind. Mesh screens(bug acreens) only screen you from insects

      @@MeandMonAmiI went to Grasse many years ago and went on a guided tour of a perfume factory. A young lady gave an extended lecture, in English, but at the end could not answer a question, as she didn’t speak English, having learnt the commentary parrot fashion. Quite a feat.

    The Italian Job with Citroen Amis? The cargo version can take 140kg (hopefully not including the driver), so at about €8 million of gold per car, that's about a €24 million haul. Where do I sign up and can I be the one that gets to say "You were only meant to blow the bloody doors off!" in my best Michael Caine voice? 🤘😂

    Beautiful scenery as usual, thanks. This is going to sound so mean and I do not intend it but you 'appeared' to have had loads of room to get Elton out. You mention possibly someone laughing at you getting irate. That would be unkind but you need to calm down and think why would they be doing that. You are I believe self taught and a relatively inexperienced driver (not a criticism). In previous videos you have shown difficulties in reversing and judging distance. All fixable by practice. It might be that you appeared to be getting angry when from the point of view of the coach driver you had a huge amount of room to get out.
    Taking time in a non stressful environment, in a car park to practice slow speed manoeuvres could help a lot. Knowing you are on video and getting wound up is the worst environment to do any driving in. I do not claim to be a good driver myself so am not criticising you at all. Stay calm, use all the space available and turn the wheel to full lock as soon as possible during each leg of a J or U turn. Also using My Boo to get out and guide you in the turn is a perfectly valid strategy.
