I work for TSA and can say that all these tips are actually true! Unfortunately not many people know about it, so there always "smart ones" who make other people wait... And to add one more tip - I know it's allowed to have 3 carry on(2 bags and a purse) on most flight, but try to go with less... Think about other people who is on the plain around you...:)
I'll have to add "be aware of not having a GPS tracker inside your checked-in luggage". I once traveled with a GPS tracker inside my luggage and ended up having a lot of security as it wasn't "tsa compliant". Didn't know this was actually a thing. Now I got a tracker that's approved by tsa, gego tracker. It works great!
TIP: For electronics like laptops Phones or cameras it is always better to send them last through the screening.. if you send them first before you clear the security.. you might give a chance to someone to pick your item and leave

They didn’t get fired, but they had to do a lot more tests and examinations after that.
I had a six-pack of Ensure diabetic drink confiscated from my carry-on. I thought I wouldn't have any problems because they were unopened and also constituted medicine. But no dice. And the TSA couldn't keep them for themselves, everything went down the drain.

What's the other 1 for in the 311 rule? The 3 is for 3.4 oz, the first 1 is for the 1-quart ziplock bag everything must fit in... So what's the second 1 for? Maybe should be the 341 rule? Max 3.4 oz liquids that fit in a 1 quart ziplock?
If you're travelling in a group of family have a separate bag for all electronics then it's easier to take them all out in security. And keep all liquids in the same bag also. That's way my family always does and it's really handy.
As for the liquids. It’s one quart size bag per person. And creams and pastes are also considered liquids. Best rule to go by is if it spreads its liquid. That goes for peanut butter and jams.
