This was one of the best 24 hours of Rolex I’ve been to. I realize it was ended on a Red Flag but the racing was so awesome. We watched the Mazda team try to get the 55 car back up for an hour around 0400, just the determination to get back out there and race is something to behold. Great video.
"Hi to my family at home" lmao. Didn't hear that on the IMSA TV broadcast, that's so good. Hope you enjoyed the race despite the weather, it was good to watch here on the slightly drier side of the Atlantic. Appreciate the footage.
I wanna see Mazda in the upcoming days. Those LMP's are fast as hell and once they iron out the kinks, they're going to be a threat. I'll always be a Corvette GT/Mazda fan.
Do you need special permission to access some of the areas you got footage from? I wanna go to this race one year (aiming for next year if everything goes right) is it all access or is there a specific way to get access to the infield area?
I get a 4 day super ticket which is about $100 and is good for the infield, grandstands, and garages all 4 days. There's also a 2 day one for a little cheaper. Infield parking and camping is very limited and will sell out immediately to people renewing tickets, but there's lots of parking and camping outside of the track for about $25 I think and you can walk in or ride a tram to the infield.
It's a really good deal especially with access to the garages. Things that would be prohibitively expensive or unavailable at an F1 or NASCAR race for example.
They should move the race at february or mid january to avoid chance of rain, i mean we've seen in the past 4 years or so that weather is a critical aspect of the race.
For anyone who wants to skip the driver autograph session, driver introductions, engine warmups, and grid walk, start your engines is at 4:40

Thanks! Scott Pruett's start command was hilarious! It was definitely rainy and WINDY Sunday so I didn't see much at the track.

Sambal Pedas the january date is good because it gives the teams time to restock parts and finalize things for the rest of the season
