I got a 2021 X1 as a loaner car when my 330 was in for maintenance, and it had X1 that shined down... I can’t decide if I like it on my 330 or not. 🤔 but you give me confidence to try some updates myself! I will give one tip for anybody replacing the kidney girl the best time to do it is in warm weather!! The plastic is more malmble.
To be honest, I‘ve never done any modifications to my car before but since I got my base model F30, I‘ve come upon your videos which motivated me to work on my car. At the start I did the black kidney grill and the M Door mirror caps. As I don‘t have a facelift model, the next modification I went for were the clear rear lights from the facelift model from VLand, which were really hard to install, since they didn‘t fit correctly. But i thought nothing could be as hard as that! :D So next things I got where the M-Steering Wheel and the M Shift Knob (i have a manual). Yesterday I installed a black interior roof, which turned out to be way trickier than I expected. All in all I‘m in love with the car and with the modifications I did i love it even more!

Loving that interior! Nice! I just got a 2015 650i F06, and the first things I did was install the black gloss kidney grille and install floating center caps on the wheels. Piece of advice concerning your neck: Make an appointment to get an MRI. You're young now, but small injuries to the spine can come back to bite you. I hurt my neck 20+ years ago in the navy. It only nagged me from time to time, but in 2019, the compression on my cervical spinal cord was severe enough to cause serious problems. I had to have a fusion to fix it, and I wish I'd seen an orthopaedic surgeon sooner and had it treated. Good job on the videos!

I'm totally the opposite with diy vids- I **NEED** to watch it while I do it. It's kinda like having a tutor right there with you. Me trying to read words, then perform the task can be... troubling... Also- I hope u get better from your injury. As I age (pushin 50) I find that all those cool sports things I ever wanted to try but never did... well, I just know any injuries may be debilitating and/or permanent. So unfortunately I chicken out now, even though I have the time & money :(

Pro tip. The magnet will prevent you from wireless charging. So if you use a lot of wireless charges just leave the magnet on your case but not attached to your actual phone. Ask me how I know 😂
@@efraing2482 there are so many options now. You've got the traditional magnetic plates, as you already know. Now they are making and selling magnetic *rings* so you can place around the coil so it does not effect the wireless charging. I haven't tried the magnetic ring but that's what I'm planning to do at some point. Apple making the ring style magnet built into their latest phone caused manufacturers to start making 3rd party rings just so people can get it and use it for older iPhones and Android.
Your build has basically inspired me to do this with my 2015 320i. I kinda took the cheaper route and just got the huge muffler deleted from my car and it sounds good! Currently in the shop getting done deer damage fixed and a new M bumper put on the front. Also i see you like to skate too! Same here! And i know the struggle of having your board fling around all over the place. So i would love to create, 3d print, and send you some board clips for the trunk if thats something you think you would often use. I have a set in mine that fit perfectly over the top of my 12 inch sub box

Just a little suggestion for your neck pain: try Aspercreme w Lidocaine, it’s over the counter non-Rx and really can help you w deep spinal issues. It’s helps me sleep at night when the pain kicks up. You’re much younger than I m...but I know how painful that can be, kinda ruins your ability to do much of anything at times. Hopefully you didn’t hurt yourself too bad. Wishing you well. And BTW I’ve owned five 3-Series BMWs and and basically a hard core fan boy(or fan old man if you will😢)....anyway, great video and there’s a chance you’ll probably never stray away from BMWs😂.
The oe and oem part is bonkers! I tried saving money and buying the less pricey items, just because i bought a few… anyway most of the oe parts my bmw would not recognize(according to the replacement specialist) , it did not help that i took it to get fixed at a stealership here in CT and well, yeah they left me without a vehicle to drive. Not all bmw cars can take OE just imo, i could be wrong, but i really hate dealing with mechanics and dealerships. Most see a BMW and they think you got mommy and daddy money😅. Luxury😂. My car has been sitting for almost a year now and i miss it, wish i had the skills and money to just replace everything😅anyway good luck to all those buying bmw, they are fun and believe me that when you get one and drive one for awhile, is like a toxic relationship, she bad for you but you keep coming back for seconds😂it is def the ultimate driving machine❤

Hey just watched one of your videos, this has nothing to do with BMW’s but it’s to do with your neck! Next time you mess up your neck, find someone in your area that does “IMS” ( Intramuscular stimulation ) I’ve had crazy whiplash in the past, usually from a fall like off the house…lol. But I swear by this procedure, no meds required, most cases, fixes the issue in one two sessions. BTW, like your videos, very clearly explained, easy to follow.

I have a some black gloss fender "shark fins" on a 2017 F15 X5 that I tried to remove many times. The 3M tape has been a bitch to remove and have no idea to get those things off.
Except of course if you have a valid phone that plate will screw up its wireless charging capability... so I would go with a wireless charing cradle any day over this otherwise snazzy magnetic one.
I had that phone mount. Stiffer suspension and low pro tires makes for a bit of a rough ride and the magnet just wasn't enough to hold the phone. It kept falling off (of course, this includes Michigan roads)
@justin thanks for sharing the link and details on the Rennline Exactfit Phone mount. I actually upgraded for the wireless charging option. Anything to improve the non-existing phone mounting options for the E90. 😅

I've been looking for modifications for a 2015 328i GT. Do you have any recommendations on where to look. Going for that stormtrooper look as well.
I think one good way is to change the grill, mirror covers, and wheels. There aren't too many modifications for GT. I have a 2016 335i GT.

I had that phone mount. Stiffer suspension and low pro tires makes for a bit of a rough ride and the magnet just wasn't enough to hold the phone. It kept falling off (of course, this includes Michigan roads)
@justin thanks for sharing the link and details on the Rennline Exactfit Phone mount. I actually upgraded for the wireless charging option. Anything to improve the non-existing phone mounting options for the E90. 😅
Any tips for improving sound insulation? Wind noise is terrible on F30s. I can’t seem to find any acoustic glass option whether OEM or 3rd party

At the moment they only sell them for the F30 and F32. I believe the taillights on the F31 are a slightly different shape
