I agree with you on it just being a scattered year after the spawn. I think the current plays a much bigger role than we probably understand. I’m a big believer in the Spring things always end up righting themselves because of the spawn. It trumps all other instinct for the fish and gets them where we expect them. After that if there’s no current, it’s like fall fishing from June until winter sets in. Been seeing a lot of fish on the steep channel banks and I think it’s starting to get things settled in where they should be. Let’s hope for some “normalcy” in 2024 with some current.
