Not sure how car designers thought it was a good idea to shift from a very precise instrument cluster with analog gauges to really crappy screens and just sell it like that. It really doesn't make sense to me. I am not against the shift to digital screens replacing analog gauges. Yes, I do prefer the analog gauges. But if car makers actually made these new interfaces with digital readouts on screens precise, easily readable, and fast... I wouldn't have anything to complain about. I wish they would either up their game, or go back to analog gauges. Sadly I don't really see many influencers complain about it.

I never noticed this before, but I love how the digital speedometer shifts its position instead of instantly jumping to stay centered when the speed transitions into or out of the triple digits. It's a neat detail.
Nice to hear the GT2 seats were ok on the track. I think the most difficult thing to spec, for casual track enthusiasts, are the seats. No one wants to choose between being uncomfortable for long drives and being tossed around on the track.
Really nice review. The sport cup 2's are so much better than the pilot 4s however we recently switched to the Goodyear Supercar 3r's and wow it is like glue. We put some Castrol high temp brake fluid and upgraded track pads (we switch back to OEM after), added 2 quarts of trans fluid and the track alignment and it is just a great car on and off the track! Love the C8 great!!! For years your channel never popped up I am so glad I found it!

Mind you I haven’t ran mine on the track, I’d really like to tho, although it it bone stock, none of the “track” oriented options like the wider tires and the Gymkhana Suspension, and of course the manual! Still a fun car to daily, and I’m glad you got to enjoy the C8 properly!

Any problems with centering steering wheel after track alignment? I have this problem since getting the alignment done. Steering wheel is 3 degrees to L but car tracks straight

Saw the C8 for the first time at a car show on Memorial Day. To be honest it could be one of the ugliest cars i have ever seen, it looks so disproportionate and none of body lines make any sense. Looks like they just slapped lines on it for the sake of it. Weirdly it looks better on camera and at a far distance, but up close... yikes.
It just feels over styled and contrived, very American. The C6 Z06 was such a clean design. I suspect the the new Z06 with the right set of wheels will do wonders for it.

The rate at which the speedometer changes is why I am still so fond of analog gauges.

You can do it anywhere, anyone that knows how to do an alignment should be able to get you custom specs for $100
