You play as a student named Lisa, who has just moved in with her university friend. But instead of a carefree student life, Lisa faces events full of despair and fear when she is left alone in her apartment number 8.
8th Apartment is the first game in the Bad Omens series. This game is for people who like domestic horror. There are no endless corridors and searching for keys in the corners of locations. In this game you live your ordinary life, but you encounter unexplained, at first glance, phenomena. You have to figure out if something supernatural is happening in this place or is it all just a series of random coincidences?
Your actions affect how the story ends. Will you be able to find the most favorable outcome for the protagonist?

Pretty sure Nick works at that bookstore down the street. He's into all that stuff, obviously, and also headed in that direction after using the vending machine.
28:50 Dude. That's self-defense, straight up. Fear for your life. Sasha created an environment of fear specifically to mess up the player character and take advantage of her terror. Unfortunate things happen when you make people believe you're going to kill them.

There's no universe where she would be arrested for murder. I know this is a horror game, but that is pushing things too far to be believed.

Agree with you about wanting a bit more. I really liked the premise though, and I suspected it was something like this especially after Lisa stabbed the "ghost" and it bled. The fact she got seven years for that though is ridiculous when it was obviously self defense! I would've loved to have known what happened to Sasha though, since everything prior hadn't been supernatural, but whatever her fate was clearly was.
Judging by how a statue shows a split face and the final image a hand reaching for Sasha with the same shirt sleeves as her, I'm pretty sure Nick dabbled with doppleganger stuff and safe to say Sasha is rip, lol.
Can't stop admiring how pretty the wallpaper is in our apartment. So sparkly!

Couldn't agree with you more, Lumiria, the ending sure set us up for a sequel - what is Nick into, where did he get that statue, and what did it do? Unless it had something to do with a relationship between Sasha and Nick that involved the statue and it was some kind of warning she would instantly recognize... dang. The possibilities have me going all over the place.
Well I need a friend like Nick in my life 👌 it was pretty interesting, I like the twist. People do stupid things for internet, without thinking about the consequences it could have on others. I feel like the endings were pretty realistic and the spooky parts, while suspicious, did have some good effects 😊
this game really puts other horror games to Shame with the protagonist's choices. in other games the protagonist is always a complete fool who ends up being the instrument of their own doom. here however, this girl Lisa is making all the correct choices. its just this Easy, game d*velopers.
I think it's moreso akin to how in horror movies, people tend to do things that at times can lead to them dying, especially as emotions like fear can lead to someone being irrational

I mean....if anything Nick is a good friend. Believed you in a time of crisis, offered to help you and even protect you, and then goes as far to help break into your roommates apartment to help you. And in the end, gives you a way to get revenge for being played. dude may be creepy in his own right, but he is a good dude XD

seriously!!! don't tell me that no one saw that hand behind Sasha in the last ending. It's obvious that statue is a cursed object that I think makes a copy out of you even the face of the statue is suggesting that. I think that Sasha after picking up that statue got haunted by a ghost or a creepy copy of herself
Oh 100% especially when you take into account the 'neighbor' was always talking about his interest in weird stuff and most likely worked at the bookstore that sold occult items.
Likely one ending missing. Day 4, when running from Ghost-Sascha instead of fighting or neighbour, you should also have the leave the apartment building option. Any day 4 caught without knife is likely hospital ending
Nick was definitely sus and needs a horror game all his own. Something like: "Voodoo Neighbor" or "What's Up With Nick?" 😶🤣
"What's Up with Nick" sounds more like a boring sitcom.
"Voodoo Neighbor" however, sounds an episode from Kolchak: The Night Stalker. 😋

Fun little twist! Happy to see a game do something different, even if it raises a few questions. Still though, I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.

main menu was giving me HEAVY AI generated image vibes, so went to the store page and yep

honestly any sort of AI generation of this kind leaves a sour taste in my mouth, regardless of how minimal it might actually be to the overall game

It really looked like the story was altering a little bit with all finded endings and how all of them were connected with the actual truth about the "ghost".

I thought the same thing at first, but if you go back to 2:25, you can see that it is a bike leaning against the wall next to apartment 5.

Yeah! I saw the same thing at 10:48 and was so alarmed! Westlake025 is right, though. It’s visible at the start of the game too and is actually just a bicycle, lol

Quite alright indeed. I suspected Nick pretty early, and I would have loved to learn a little bit more about him, especially given that last ending...
I figured it was Sasha when I saw the 2nd ending of you going to jail. The one issue this raises is how to explain the instances when you saw an apparition appear and then disappear, such as the sewer / alley entrance. Sasha couldn't have managed a trick like *that,* so what was that? Possibly, this game could involve both a fake *and* a real ghost? 🤔
it was PTSD due to the first time she met the fake ghost.
She even snapped herself out of it by telling herself to focus.
She also mentioned she did not sleep at all the night before so that could also affect her mental state.
A bit short, but made tastefully with all the mysteries.
Wait so this is incredible. Knowing the final ending, the first ending makes so much more sense. Sarah had a guilt feeling for making us insane
Really liked that one! Many horror games go illogical or surreal, where you can just trash the player with nonsense FX, but here someone took the effort of writing an actual story. Good one! 👏🏻

That ending explained so much & nothing at the same time... great game. Very unappealing ending tho😢
Why? It explained that Sasha got replaced by a doppelganger and the statue is likely haunted. There's even another hand wearing the same sweater reaching out to her from behind.
And another comment here said that Nick is likely into the occult and worked at the Occult book shop so he knows stuff like this.

13:54 how did Sasha know what the newspaper article said and who it was about ? Lol all our character said was that she found a scrap of newspaper on her desk. Either a game error …. Or something is up w Sasha lol also it was odd that our character said that she saw our neighbor above us on campus that day… he could be stalking her or Sasha and broke in upstairs so he could drop down to their balcony and mess with them. Or I’m totally wrong per usual 😂 oh well
Sasha planted those evidence. Chances are she was back in the room right after the MC found out the door was jammed. Considering how close the balcony are to the other houses, she could've also use those to move throughout the place.
Please please pretty please play resident evil revelations!!!! Just played it and man I want to see you play through the game… there’s a lot to like about it… and it’s been forever since you played a resident evil game… or something like it. Always my faves to watch you play.

The story and scares could indeed have been more in depth and better. The base story was good though. It just feels a bit flat, not followed through properly. Love the multiple endings, but some are not the greatest, also bit more story in the endings. But fun one to watch 😊

Enjoyed this. Some very nice touches in places, David Lynch style. 7:40. That first tv shot of the corridor you just walked down creeped me out. Nicely paced although the game is short and the proper ending doesn't really explain other events in the game, the images playing on the tv for example. Still, a cut above your average indie horror this one.
It was stated by Sasha herself (on her laptop) that she recorded that video for TV.
