    Thanks Mac. I have used heaters like this many years in my canvas tents. Also I used it in a large wooden leentoo 😊. Put a tarp over the front and it kept my son and I nice and warm. Went out to relieve myself and damn! Everything was white and still snowing (first Week of May) so we cooked up some bacon and eggs 😊 now I just made a video using my Alpaca TS-909 cooker heater, this works great.
    Now in my canvas tents I use wood stoves. Thanks and take care. I’m am old timer also. 😊

      The paraffin heater is the way to go for hot tents, fill it once a day, no getting up in the night to feed it and you can cook on it. I like not having to carry so much fuel and you don’t have to clean it when putting it away.

    I had a good laugh when you were smoking that cigar and trying out the air tester at the same time! This was just the topic I wanted to see addressed: how does a paraffin heater fair in a hot tent. I noted that it did not need a stove pipe to vent combustion gasses outside. That is a big plus. It also heated the space a treat.

      Paraffin heaters have been used safely in the coldest of environments for generations. When I was a child every family in the village used paraffin, I can’t remember anyone having a problem.

    A suggestion to do with that surplus tomato sauce is to use it as a base for curry wurst sauce.

    that looks like it works pretty good! I need to buy something like this for next time I go camping, that's pretty handy that you can cook on top of it also. your positive energy is always great to see and watch, thanks for another video :)

      See day 2 next Saturday. Only suitable for larger tents, preferably without a ground sheet.

    You looked snug as a bug in a rug, i might consider a paraffin heater for my place as i am always getting power cut outs, although i do have a gas bottle heater but you cannot cook off it....enjoyed the video and i hope your chest infection clears soon.

    Hi Mac. I would call that a success, at 24 degrees your tent is about 7 or 8 degrees warmer than my house 😄
    The frying pan looks interesting, is it carbon steel and does it fit on the Trangia? Thanks.

    • @wanderwithmac
      @wanderwithmac  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is a bit big for the Trangia, and is meant for open fire camp cooking
