    you explain that tutorial with pears and apples, thank you, finally I do understand how the timer work. I saw different tutorials and after watching them I was on point A again.

    I'm in the same boat as you. Just doubled the number of raised beds and will be expanding my drip system. And I WILL be getting a timer this year. Thanks for the simple tutorial.

    Awesome video! We bought several drip hoses for really cheap at an auction and I would love to use them for my new garden, great idea about the automatic timer! We have one of these for our chicken coop and works great! Good valuable video!

    Loud and clear on frequency and the time of day to do the initial setting. The one I have is different which will be perfect for the outdoor raised beds. I am going to purchase the same brand you have because the features are perfect for my green house.

    Sounds like they made these items for people going on vacation or folks just too lazy to get out in the yard to water their plants. THAT, or for the Forgetful. I however do happen to fall into EACH of the three categories. Great explanation of the item. 👍

    It looks like you still have the hose vacuum breaker (HVB) installed before the timer. I believe this is a bad idea. My understanding is HVBs are not designed to be under constant pressure (typically 12 hours max) and will almost certainly fail prematurely if so. With an automatic timer you usually leave the faucet turned on which results in the HVB being under constant pressure. The HVB should really be installed on the timer outlet so it isn't under pressure when the timer is off.

    Thanks for this info. My hubby recently passed away, so I'm trying to take care of the garden and beautiful landscaping he left me. I wanted to test it to see if it worked at all anymore, but when I put it on "manual" nothing happens. The valve is open and the batteries are new. I thought at first the manual override wouldn't work until the auto timer kicks in, but your video indicated it would be within a few seconds. Any troubleshooting thoughts for me? Thank you!

    Hi there. I just bought and haven’t yet installed this raindrip r675ct timer. I have no idea I would have wake up at 5:45 in the morning if that’s when I wanted to program it for… so, I’m waiting until tomorrow morning. But in the meantime, I was wondering if I can use manual dial today, to test that I have no leaks and everything is working properly. Then possibly take the batteries out, reinstall them at 6 AM tomorrow and program the timer at that point for automatic repetitive function.
    It would be great to have this question answered if you know it. Thx in advance

    • @Growyourheirlooms
      @Growyourheirlooms  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can run manual. In fact , running in manual doesn't affect the timer. So you don't need to remove the batteries. Just set it back to auto after you're done

    Thanks for the info man! Wanted to see some information on this product before I bought it so this video helped a lot. Do you know how much rain it takes for the rain delay to kick in? I’m in an opposite situation in Florida. I have a feeling I will be wearing out the rain delay feature!

    • @JustinSmith1002

      Not sure how much as far as the rain goes. Since rain is so sporadic here in So Oregon, I find myself usual the manual feature. Since I'm out there most of the day anyways, it not really a hassle. The system does work good though.

    What if I change the frequency from 24hrs to 48 and I had it coming on at 6am. When I change it to 48 do I have to be sure to do the changing at 6am again?

    • @Growyourheirlooms
      @Growyourheirlooms  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you set it to 48, it will skip every other day

    • @thestraitgateway
      @thestraitgateway 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Growyourheirlooms Well of course, I know what the difference between 24 and 48 hours is. Let me try to rephrase the question. So initially I set it at 6 o clock in the morning for 24hrs. Then a month later I want to change it to 48 hrs, but still come on at 6am. So when I change it do I have to change it at 6am again, or can I just simply turn it from 24 to 48 at a more convenient time for me and it still be set to come on at 6am?Another way I could put is, if it's set to come on at 6 and I was to accidentally bump the button to 48 hrs from 24 would that change the start time to the time that I accidentally bumped it up to 48? Please let me know thanks and God bless

    It stinks if you put it on manual the timer don’t count down if you set it on 10 minutes you go back 5 minutes later it’s still on 10 minutes so I don’t know how much time I have left. 🤔🤦🏻‍♂️
