I just watched quite a few different videos on these and you were the only one with that French seam! I was yelling at a few of the others..why didn’t you French seam that! Great video. Simple, precise, and clear. And love the tip on the iron. It’s exactly what I do for the same reason.
Thank you for another fast and easy project, love it. I'm 66 and have sown for over 40 of those years and I've never made a french seam☺ thank you for the lesson..
I known this video is from a year ago, but I stumbled across it and I must say I love French seams ,😍 thank you so much for this simple awesome tutorial I've made a lot of tissue holders but you made your tutorial so simple and to the point 🤗😁HAPPY SEWING!
I just love your tutorials! I haven't sewn since I was first married in the 80's. Thanks to the pandemic, I have gotten back into doing it with your instructions. I can play it over and over again. I made 4 of these this afternoon. Thanks for your easy to follow guidelines. If I can sew, anyone can. :)
I have done these many times by different tutorials some I have liked some I haven't. This tutorial looks like the easiest and the quickest when I have seen for this project. I can't wait to try this. Thanks so much for your tutorials
Mr Patch, Maybe try this instead of backstitching. Set stitch length to 22 stitches per inc. Start at edge and sew thru seam allowance and a tad bit more. Then switch back to your chosen stitch length to finish sewing the seam. STOP just SHORT OF other seam allowance, reset to 22 stitches per inch and finish to edge of fabric. Voila! This method saves thread and reduces bulk. Got this idea out of a sewing methods book.
