He is, it's the timing as you say....and so is Reilly, just magical drama...the very best...we binge watched the whole series, and in the middle of S2 I got a bit down because I knew it would end and I missed it already...
I was going to say the exact same thing. I have two adult daughters now, and have gone through this exact same thing. My wife and I are very fortunate. They both chose very well, and we have three extremely gorgeous grandkids as a result.
Girls that were loved by their dads will do anything for them. My Dad went through hell and never abandoned us and prioritized us always. My only wish in this life is to earn enough and be there for his old years. Both my parents did the best they could and it was plenty. I love them to death.
Sorry. Kinda "out of myself" 😂😂🖤🤍... Well u can still ask the father AFTER the daughter ... Like "hey she said yes, so here I am after I asked the most important person to ME ... I just have to ask the person who was there for HER the most ... So that I can know the most about her past , to ensure the happiest future possible".... I mean... That seems reasonable to me :/
Rip and beth is truly a love story of the ages. And her convo with her pops shows how he makes her feel and as a father we want nothing more for our little girls
Do you know their love story? Cause I remember her telling rip she wasn’t his to be jealous over then bringing home another ranch guy all on their first day 😂 then the nigga dumped for her his whole life
@@ernestmarshall5846 She didn't "cheat" on him. Any person she slept with in the earlier seasons, they literally weren't together which was acknowledged multiple times I belive
John and Kelly had an incredible relationship as father and daughter. They fought hard and loved hard. They portrayed a a great father daughter relationship.
It’s good enough to make me loathe the horrible person she is. She wasn’t the cause of her mother’s death, who was just as big a B as she is, that’s on her mom who CHOSE to die rather than have her brother ride for help. Aside from her bad start she NEVER redeems herself with anyone, but her dad who is deliberately blind
is one of the most tender scenes on YellowStone!! great loving chemistry between the daddy & daughter. she is normally angry and on a rant to destroy someone.
As a dad of 3 girls who has been asked, it’s not about approval, it’s about character. The amount of courage it takes is important when deciding to pass the protection you’ve provided since their birth to another man is paramount. That being said, and having been through this, my first and only thought is the amount of men Rip has taken to the train station, at first it’s frightening, but then you realize he did to protect the things he loves the most, his family.
I’m on both sides here. I went to my father in-law and asked him for approval. He said “why would ya wanna do that” in a joking manner. Then said “Well you can’t bring her back”. I knew what he meant and I’ll keep her safe till the day I die. Now years later I have 3 girls of my own so I hope the men they meet show the same respect.
Asked my wife's father for her hand. He said yes with a request to wait a little longer. We shook hands and I waited another year to propose. After he found out he told me he didn't mean to wait that long.
I’m a Dad of 2 girls n 2 boys n character and morals is def paramount to even prepare for the question. I didn’t raise my 2 boys to not ask n I’ll be damn if the husband-to-be don’t ask. That’s not character it’s the definition of cowardice. If u don’t ask me first don’t ask my girls point blank and period!
I have none to call my own, so I can only say that, I can only imagine what you're going through. There are simply no words to articulate the level of pain. I am truly sorry for your losses, brother. I hope and pray that the passage of time makes it increasingly bearable for you to endure. May God be with you, always 🙏🏾
It took me a second…hey, I’m feeling the pain, the loss. Thx for sharing yer experience. My prayers go out to you and yours. Love from Vancouver BC. 🙏🏻😔
Not Yet. Season 5 Part 2 is in November 2024 and then Season 6, the final season, has been greenlit for 2025. So stay alive...be patient, the story will end soon.
Thats a true dads concern❤ knowing he raised a good daughter and knowing all the veribles and having good understanding.. makes it no easier for the dad to accept his daughter marrying anyone.
One of the best damned scenes in the entire show run history. Great interaction, making you truly belive the actors are father and daughter. And the truth in her eyes about her love for Rip that made every fan wish for a woman like Beth in their life.
Kevin Costner, Liam Neeson and George Freeman are the actors I admired making dialogues. There is something in their voice that makes you listen to every word they say.
I'm 51 with five kids...three of em daughters...I felt this. That is some GREAT acting...the most sincere "thank you, Daddy" I've heard other than what I've heard from my own kids who are grown. Felt like my heart got ripped out and shoved back in upside down...
Ayo, all these heartfelt comments are touching, and I'ma let you finish... But "I love you, Daddy" to Fine Wine Costner is one of the best non-adult fluffer scenes of all time !!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE their on screen relationship. The love each other unconditionally and with out hesitation they have each others backs. Any loving father would love to have this relationship with his daughter. The first episode after Lee’s funeral when John said “I need you to stick around honey” and she responds “I’m not going anywhere daddy, just tell me who to fight”…. What a great introduction to their dynamic
My fiance's parents arent on best terms and she raised herself. I never asked for their permission to take their daughter. I told them what I was doing. Both her parents hugged me and said they couldn't of had a better son. This shit hit home for myself and my fiance.
Love this woman here she is a spit fire with a side of sweetheart and a freak in the sheets all qualities men love and everything that women today truly lack
I love his he pretty much loves Rip like his son and knows him inside it but without telling him.. the equation between him and Rip is so great in this series
what every fatherhood, has in story even if you are not the father, brother, cousin. uncle, any type of father figure youngs girls look too, but it is the hardest thing in this world, no matter where you fall, blessing, Kevin Costner as a father, daaaaammmm
Kevin Costner is such a great actor! The subtle pauses and breaks in his voice leans so much credence to this moment.

lol except when he’s trying to be English.. as in Robin Hood. His accent was so bad he was told to drop it. Even then though still on of my favorites.

Proper. Dad knows his guy, daughter loves his guy. What a position to be in as a father. I think this was brilliant.
Great tenderness between two people capable of such intensity and violence is an awesome thing.
