Hey 509 have you had any troubles with this BTS7960 loosing reverse or I mean loosing the ability to go one way she bit the other ? I have a ton of these things that have lost the one way but will work in the opposite direction ?!
Thank you. Honestly I'm not sure I would guess just hook up the r then again not sure I haven't used these in about a year or so. If you just wanted forward you could disable the reverse function on your transmitter depending on which one you are using. Sorry I'm not much help

"I am pretty sure" that I have my wires connected just like you do but the motor continues to spin in one direction, or the other, when the servo arm gets moved in either direction. There doesn't seem to be any "end point" in the servo travel. Thankfully, I didn't have the servo arm screw in the servo arm because the motor arm ripped the servo arm off the servo and continued to spin around, ha ha ha. Would you have any thoughts on what I might be missing?
@@509trails Thank you for your reply! Since sending you my earlier message, I've been messing around with it and I've decided to try a different servo. It's odd because I just had this same servo in a flying wing just last week. I sold the wing and kept the electronics so, to my knowledge, the servo was good. But...I do have other servos around that I can try. I'll try that and see what happens.

Fantastic video! I bought 1 of these 2 years ago and could not make it work. However, I'm not sure if I have a different H bride than yours, mine looks identical to your one. I connected it the same way as you did, but it didn't work until I start to disconnect some of the wires and it now works! On my H bridge is connected pins 1 and 2 to the servo (same as your set up) but pins VCC, R_EN and L_EN connected together and that was it. I didn't need to supply any power to VCC GND or any other pins. I'm happy now that my one works, but I'd be interested if someone could explain what's going on with my one? EDIT I've just seen your other video, you did the same thing.

Thanks for the video! I started an attempt to operate exactly these wiper motors with the BTS7960. The wiper motor gets exceptionally hot. Is that normal?
They should get warm but not too hot you could have a short in the h bridge or the motor try a different motor and see if it still gets hot if it does I would think it is the h bridge. How many volts are you using to the H bridge
Friend I have a problem! I turned everything on correctly but the motor keeps spinning and breaks the arm that connects the motor to the potentiometer! Do you know how to solve it?
Did you take the gears out of the servo? If you did put them back in and test the servo and see it it works right. Also take the top of your servo off and look at the arm stops if it has any. Your potentiometer might be bad.
do you think it would be possible with the drok XY-1260 60amp controller? im trying to control my gmc sierras quadrasteer rear steering manually. Iwill donate if you can help me out
@@509trails Ha yeah the sensor went out. right now im using a rc 150amp esc to controller the brushless motor but it doesn't work as a servo just forward and reverses which works ok. when i drive i just use the rc controller to steer the rear of the truck. it's pretty fun to crab steer. i don't have a clue how to convert the brushless motor into a servo so i was going to just change the whole motor out to a brushed but i needed something with more amps
@@MichaelRHead-zv2zf I'm not 100% sure but you might be able to use just 2 wires from that motor. It's a way different application but I was able to use 2 wires from a wheel chair motor. Honestly I would look into hydraulic rear steer. You would be able to install button stops. I'd you used the set like I have on here you would be in the same boat in a week or 2
@@MichaelRHead-zv2zf you could buy a scooter/ go kart brushless speed control from eBay the has a reverse switch. That would have the voltage and the amps you need. There are some other BLDC controller boards I don't know how many amps you need

@@509trails found my mistake , battery have 28.8 v , now I am using 21.6v and I want to start a 24v motor and controll it like an ESC , but the servo potentiometer can't stay at 0 . Ideeas?
@@R3cHin13 honestly i have no idea. I learned how to hook it up with the battery pack first. And the h brige was over heating and would stop working. I found out it would work with out the battery by accident when it fell off of my lawnmower and it was still working. After that I stopped putting the battery on it and it seems to work alot better

I just tested the servo and it's indeed the faulty one, it just spins continuously, btw, what's the purpose of attaching the wiper's shaft to the servo shaft?

The receiver should have its own power 6 volts. I wouldn't go higher than 7.4 or it will burn it up
so how to connect the receiver? pin vcc + ground on ibts?

The receiver hooks to pins 1 and 2 but you need a servo or a low voltage esc

I ran into that problem before and I just replaced the h- Bridge it could be the servo motor too

It sounds like the stop in the top part of the servo is broken. Or the potentiometer is failing

I removed all the gears from the engine! I left only the ones in the pot but tomorrow I will use a new deer and give you a return. thank you so much

@@R3cHin13 if you take the servo apart and use hot glue to make the pot stay at 0. Then it will work like an esc.

How big? How many volts.. my esc is an old servo with out the top cover and gears.

Sounds like you have a bad potentiometer try using a different servo

@@24242424h when you hook the servo horn up to the shaft of the wiper motor it will put wiper motor arm exactly back on Pointe just like the RC servo
