How’s the truck coming along. Make an update vid
@@Just_quit352 it's all good I bought another engine for it put it in it running great I just haven't had time to get the alignment done on it
You have no idea how much you have advanced my control and have advanced the knowledge that I needed to put some of this big equipment that I’ve built to use now by emote control !! It’s taking me 40 years to get save and no be able to until this video you put on here changed all that for me !! No words but a BIG fucking thank you !!
@@kevinknowlton5460 you are most certainly welcome I'm happy to help
Esse CDI que vc colocou foi o GY6 50cc e esse fio que sobra do original ? Desde já agradeço!
Hey I just wanted to say thank you for posting this. Auto shop wanted to charge me 786 for this and I couldn’t afford it. So I took it home to try myself. I almost gave up then I found this video. It worked great for me. You saved me 500 bucks. Thanks so much again!!!
@@CampRegan you're welcome I'm glad it saved you money that's awesome
Do you get back to anybody on this channel or have I been singled out ?!?!?! 😢
Sorry I don't get notifications anymore so it's hard to respond to people I'm not on here a lot
did the abs light stay outy. im kinda dealing with the same thing. swapped the same parts.. my abs light comes on and off occasionally.
@@polivo0111 I changed out my PCM and it went out. I not saying it will help you might need and update
Brake switch was my problem 🎉
Headed to kettle this weekend buddy had one on yesterday just a shaker tho good luck brotha 🙏
I was able to get mine out without having to pull all the shielding/accessories due to my rat like arms
Check all other fuses as well
So glad I found your video before I got started!
No... it's true. The reel is shit. I repair reels. This model has changed since the last release of 50 LW's. The eccentric jack gets hung up every time you release the spool. This causes the pinion to chip away at the spool shaft key. I feel your pain dude. The reel is certifiably shit.
I have a 96 D21 and mine had a similar problem. Ended up being a bad capacitor on the speedometer circuit board.
it’s not throwing DTCs, then what you gotta do it to a whole reset. Unhook the battery. Both terminals. Contact them together and either zip tie them, or whatever. And leave it sit like that for approx 15-30 seconds. Then hit the lights or horn to drain access power within the system, and then reconnect the terminals and then turn the key. If that doesn’t solve it, then it’s possible that either it’s a faulty sensor, or they just turned dumb and wanted to stay on and say hi 😂
did you just put in the used PCM?
@@HergyBear78 yes I just in stalled an updated PCM it was by luck that it was updated
What servo type / model was causing the wheels to shake ?
My dad used to use transmission oil with a bit of diesel in it and I remembering that working great if you’re stuck one day give it a try
I have the same problem I checked the sprak plug changed pil the manual start up is hard
Yeah they are all hard with the pull cord if you put the choke on it should be a bit easier
This helped me change the starter, thanks BUT, The car started fine for about a week and now it randomly does the one click thing again. The exact same problem it was doing before. now it's a new starter, and it's unlikely that a brand new starter would have worked for a week and then started doing the exact same problem. any idea what this might be or what a solution might be? It will start sometimes, and sometimes it takes about 30 minutes to get it to start. Battery is basically new (4 months old) and it's not a rapid clicking indicative of battery issues anyway. This is driving me insane and I can't trust this vehicle with my wife and babies in it like this. HELP!?! 😅
Have you had the battery tested? At 4 months old it could have a bad cell have it tested with and with out a load on it. My wife's van did the exact same thing
@@509trails I have checked it with the voltmeter and it is definitely producing the right amount of voltage, but are you saying that it might read correctly but still have bad cells?
@@sammysokosammysoko yes I had that happen to me before I took it up to O'Reilly's and they put it on their tester and I had a week cell. The other thing it could be is the parking switch in the shifter you might try up on it and giggling it and try to start it
@@509trails thanks for the tip, I'll definitely try that. of course the problem is intermittent so when I need it to do it it won't. I just went out and started it about eight times in a row. meanwhile yesterday it took 45 minutes to get it started. Go figure.
Thanks for the video! I almost gave up until I saw this. Took a while to move it around just right to pull it out. I kept an eye on the position it was in when I pulled it out and reversed when putting the new one in. I didn’t want to mess with pulling out the motor mount or radiator fan that I saw in other videos. Great advice about keeping a bolt in to hold the metal gasket in place.
It’s difficult to believe, only because you made the review with the reel still in the water ?
Check the other video and see the gear for yourself
@@509trails It’s sad to say but you’re right, plastic gears on a $167 dollar reel is just being cheap. I went ahead and brought the daiwa saltist lw 50 lch better made reel. Thanks for the review, this was very helpful in the this is process
@@BrightBoy77 you're welcome glad to help the daiwa saltist lw 50 is my favorite reel.
Im also not a fan of the "made in Chynuh" Penns....have a couple older "made In USA" those are great
I would have to agree with you
That bums me out. Ive been eyeing one of these exact ones for shark fishing.
I think a shark would tear that reel up so fast
Thank you very much ❤
You're welcome happy to help
That’s just the levelwind gear, I actually took that plastic gear out and the levelwind off
I bought a few of them and now just keep them with me in my bag so I can change it out the gears are pretty cheap. I think they're a dollar something a piece
The red one seems to be the hardest to find, not sure if you got that in USA, in Australia we had 3 colours in the Typhoon, the two you have, and a red one, which had black fan gaurds on the rear and the lift fan. Ours said METRO where yours says TYCO, but were essentially the same, I had the white one back in the early 90s, played with it heaps! By the time i got mine the Hurricane Hovercraft was out, in USA it was called the Mini Typhoon. The independent lift fan button was gone as was the ability to control each fan seperately, which meant reverse was only available on both fans together. The left stick controlled both fans together, the right stick controlled each fan but only in the forward direction. The Hurricane only came in red and black here.
What do you recommend? I almost bought a Penn from Cabelo
I recommend the daiwa saltist. They make a 50. It's a really good real easy to cast
Thanks for this, it's still helping after 4 years lol
You're welcome I'm happy to help
Cool video and all but what is LCR 5
LCR 5 is always comply with the seat belt rules
That's 123 feet not yards
Line counter says 369 ft equals 123 yd
Send it back ,they will warrant it
Very good
Muito bom
Convert it to a conventional reel, bud...good luck
I kinda tried that when I made the video. I just bought the gear off line now I have a few in by bag just in case it happens again
Cool build. I like the creative use of the tire tracks.
Thank you. I'm going to build a set of metal tracks for it at some point in time
It has a warranty
Can you show me what cdi box you got on eBay I’m trying to fix mine I have the same problem

Will it run 6010 and 7018?
Yes it will I ran aluminum rod with it using 115 volts
@@509trails nice how did it stick weld aluminum? Was the weld good quality looking?
@@farmboy_907 the aluminum rod did stick a bit. I think it looked ok it was my first time with aluminum

Could you please tell me which one was the silver typhoon. I believe I purchased it in 1989 ???? I came upon your videos and got excited 😮😂
Mines ticking really loud 01 Honda rancher 3504x4 es would this fix? Valves are set right think it’s timing chain or tensioner
It could fix it I think it is 15 to 20 bucks
is this overhead rod or spinning?
It is a casting rod / conventional it is 11 ft surf rod I have never heard it called an over the head rod
Ese auto es un super clásico era el mas veloz de su epoca quedan muy pocos porque la gente no los cuida yo tengo uno con electronica moderna le puse placa Hobbie Win pero guarde la electronica antigua por todo di $500 suben mas de precio cada año
Ok so I'm with ya all the way up until the O2 sensor comes in. I can't seem to get it to break loose. I am completely ignorant to all things mechanic but have to get this figured out so I have a vehicle again. Been stranded for just. Over a month at this point. Any suggestions on what I could try to get the o2 sensor off?
You might have to use a small pipe wrench for the O2 sensor do you have a little torch you can heat it up with?
@@509trails ihavea propane torch ( pretty sure it's propane it's a green bottle) and I did see that as an option that other people have talked about but I was scared to do it because there's oil all over the place under my van and was worried that it might be dangerous. I'm kind of like Murphy's law . I have one of those sockets that you can use for the o2sensor so it will accommodate the wires on it but there's no room to get the ratchet in there. Do you think it would be wise just to cut the cords on the O2 sensor so I could use the clothes end on a regular wrench to try to grip it better? I wasn't really sure if it would be worth the loss of the O2 sensor by cutting the wires to try that or not. I don't have a breaker bar so I'm not sure if I'd be able to put enough leverage on the wrench anyway. I'm starting to feel kinda hopeless but I don't have the money to replace the van over a starter so I got to get it figured out and I just got to there's no other option.
@@simplycountry I would only cut the wires if you have another 02 sensor the pipe wrench and a rachet strap might work
@@509trails ok well I don't have another sensor but the rachet strap sounds like a good idea to try. Thanks I never would have thought of that.
Its been months now. Did you find out what thw problem was. Im having the same issue
Yes I made another video on it. I changed out the PCM and the light went away
What did your starter do when it was going out? I have one that is I think getting stuck in the out position. Once you turn the key and then it kind of puts everything in a bind, you can let it sit for a little while and it feels like this, it pulls back and you can start it up and it’s fine, someone told me it was the starter so I am going to change it out. This video is a big help but if you could hit me back and let me know what your starter did when it was going out.
My starter just clicked and did nothing it does sound like you Bendix is getting stuck
We’re can I get that kick start leaver
I JUST acquired one of these boats, unbuilt. Any insite you might provide is appreciated. Is the 380 motor adequate? Should i just plan on replacing the electronics and drive components? The video makes it sound really loud, is that due to the 3:1 gearing? Thanks!
Lol it is simple if i had room to work . i have to do it again tomorow because the one i installed last time was defective and stoped working . wish luck
I hate getting defective parts. Good luck I hope it goes fast for you
