- Made to test out a different video camera I have, the sound quality is quite noisy and later shots the wind got up and would need to be reshot if this was one of my usual repair videos. Need to investigate a wireless lapel mic for future videos to get the background noise down.

Great video ,I could watch this all day .I love starting up my Dad's old digger with BMC engine.Hoping to purchase a couple of BMC engined Leyland or similar over next few years.

Happy New year Rick, you've inspired me to get my late father's MF 500s running again, just ordered myself one of those 12v pumps. Hopefully they'll fire up.

@@montegoson I like the idea of running them all from the same gallon can, rather than messing around with fuel tanks etc. Simple idea I guess but I'd have never considered it.
@@richarddunnington6128 Yes quiet useful, piece of 5/16 copper soldered in inch from the bottom and some 3/16 copper brake pipe near the top for the return.
@@montegoson thanks Rick, I'll get on with it as soon as I get chance, it'll be a nice change from fixing the barn roof and filling pot holes 🤣

Happy newyear mate. So good to get a new video from you, have missed them a lot. I wonder if all the new gazillions pounds tractors will last for as many decades as good old Nuffield and Leyland tractors, if maintained they last forever. I dont understand they got such a bad reputation.

Hi just woundering other than a bmc 6 cylinder what other 6 pot would be an easy engine to fit to a nuffield universal 4 . Thanks and happy new year 🎉
The BMC is the only easy fit, however the Cummings 6 cylinder is readily available from scrap tucks and is finding its way into Nuffield’s.

Hi Rick my name is Carlo I have a Nuffield 4 60 and I am based in South Wales. I have a problem with the power steering which won’t push or pull The steering linkage. There is plenty of oil in the reservoir and there appears to be a good flow of oil. I have stripped and checked the steering ram assembly in an attempt to find faults but everything appears to be okay. Any advice you can give me would be appreciated. Thank you Carlo
Sorry can’t help, not a problem I have encountered and there is not much knowledge around about the rams either.
Hello there have been watching your videos very helpful.At the moment my son is rebuilding a 1060 that has a 5.1 bmc in it block is cracked I see you have some of these engines and was wondering if you would be interested in selling a good one if he can’t get the block welded many thanks John Stevenson

Do you have any videos on rebuilding 3pth cylinder my 342 3pth doesnt lift, it will lift a little if you bump it
