Wow! I love it! That thing sounded so good when it fired up. Heck with all that new stuff! This is where it's at right here. I could hear the excitement in your voice as well. LOVE IT!
Thank you Steve. I really enjoy the old stuff, just built with style and durability. Yea I was very excited to hear it fire up and sounding healthy. I can’t wait to get it fully working to use around the property.
Man I was so pumped to hear it running. Not sure how many years since it was last cranked. It’s going to need some elbow grease on this one, but I’m ready to see where it goes.
I will be working on a 52 year old MTD 7 Hundred if spring ever arrives. These old tractors are particularly interesting to me. Nice to see this one wake up and sing!
That’s incredible. I feel the same way about these older machines. I sold my old farmall tractor and regret it, but I’m very excited to see what I can do with these.
Nice job Alex, I think I was as excited as you when it fired up and I really loved the "yeaaaaaah" when reverse gear worked. 🙂 Looking forward to the next videos during this restoration bud. 👍
Haha. Yea I named all three. I told my wife they need names. I’ve got ol blue, big red, and Goldy. Really looking forward to getting further into these machines. Thank you!!
Ol Blue sounds pretty good for its age. Good to get the gear train moving again on its own power. To bad they hacked the hood up to put the chevy alternator on. At least todays video answered alot of questions about the functions of the tractor! Goodluck and have fun with this project Alex.🚜👍🇺🇸 Roger
Yea the hood hacked up really is a bummer. I’m not sure I could repair it to looking perfect again, but I’m thinking when I sand it down to paint I’ll at least clean up and square the edges. I’m excited to hear it come to life and yea the trans feels good so far. I’m excited for these machines.
I think these will be a fun project. Really wanting to put one of them to work around the property. Yea it’s nice to have the size but mowing yards all summer and then spending 3 hours on this one weekly is daunting haha. Hope all is well your way 🤘
Hey Alex. I probably got just as excited as you when you started it and even drove it. Just to let you know my old Gravelys have a zenith carb and don't have any rubber seats. I think your carb is the same way. Great job so far👍
That’s good to know. I just never encountered a needle/seat setup like that so I wasn’t sure. Seemed to seal just fine, but I just didn’t have anything to go off from. Haha right it was great to hear it fire up and go through some gears. I’m super happy to get this far.
I’ll have to take a look at it again. I found out after this video came out that this is not the factory carb. Someone fitted this one up so I’ll see what I can do to make this one work for the time being. The carb on it right now is a Marvel Schebler.
That’s music to a Sears guys ears lol wow that’s pretty sweet Alex glad you got it running! That doesn’t look to be the stock LME carb that came on these Sears so hopefully there’s a number or code on that carb. Ya I’m not understanding the alternator setup, the regulator might have burned out? And that lever on the left side of the frame is the parking brake, that should be forward to be off. Great series so far!
Thank you very much for the continued tips. I’ll go out today and see what I can find for info on the carb that is on it currently. I’m thinking the same on the charging system. I’ll check some more things out on it to see if I can get some info.
If you need to you can run it without the fuel pump. Just not up any steep hills. Fuel pump kits may still be available but the last time I tried to look for them the kit was a new fuel pump. There's a bunch of different styles of those vacuum fuel pumps on line. Might want to get in touch with a tuber called "I save tractors". They have a huge inventory for old engines of all types. Even the onans. Good luck!!
Yes “I save tractors” has a lot of great support/parts for the community. I really enjoy his channel as well. I think the pump will be good for now, but in the future if needed I can also use a Briggs fuel pump worst case. I’m just really happy to hear it run after years of sitting.

Love the old tractors be watching for the updates on them 👍👍👍👍✌✌✌
That made me happy running and driving. Look forward to the next steps on this tractor 🚜

She sounded real good running thanks for the video
Thank you!!! Yea I’m really excited to get going. It needs a lot of small stuff but I think it will be a great machine again.
Great job, I love those little tractors
Thank you 🐔. I’m really excited to get all three of them going. Just have to take my time and have some patience. Hope all is well your way.
Yeah buddy 😎 that's so cool to see you get her running and moving under her own power 👍
I’m very excited to get it at least running and moving. I know it needs a lot of work, but I think it will be a great machine.
@@freedommowers420 Yeah buddy😎

Right!!! I was so stoked. Crazy to hear something with age like this one to fire up and sound so smooth. Can’t wait to really get into these tractors.
How Awesome is this💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
It was a great feeling hearing this old machine come to life. There will be lots to come. Hope your staying warm out there 💪
@@freedommowers420 Absolutely 💪🏽
Glad to see you got it going, and even more happy for you when it pulled off on it's own. Ol Blue is a pretty good name considering its age.

nice one, sounds nice 👍
Thanks scotti. It was great to hear it running. Not too bad for a old machine. Hope all is well your way.
Cool , Is that main jet a drilled in place jet . Hole in threads , May need to make it a service jet . I have a few 14`s and 15`s with the briggs

Are you going to run it without a air cleaner assembly?

In low range I think those old things could pull a house
Yes they have a heck of a low range on these. I have the weights on the rear and it helps a lot with pulling.
