    Just wanted to say thank you for everything you’ve done. You’ve made a difference for a lot of Prius owners!

    Thanks! I was happy to discover that I didn’t need to move the bumper cover to swap horns out on my 2012 Prius V. I had plenty of room after removing the plastic tray.

    Great video. It took me about 20 minutes to get it done and back together. My only warning is that you may need to purchase some more clips once you are done but that shouldn't discourage anyone from doing this.

    the first month I bought my 2014 prius four was to buy Hella Dual Supertone 118dB 003399803 twin horns and mounted them in alternate location using existing holes. They are mounted next to each other and the center point of the horns are just below the bottom edge of the condenser. Facing forward and working fine 7 years later. I never tried to mount where original horns were since I didn't want to take the bumper off, but I did unplug the originals.

    Why I'm watching this? My Prius is gone (Totalled). Well, I'm a loyal viewer. I still have my 2.4 2007 Accord.

    YES! Thank you. But I think I’m going to put a truck horn. Need something a little louder to truly express how I feel when tested on the road. And some deserve a nice gigantic blast to their core for their moronic, inconsiderate, impatient, dangerous and think they own the road moves. Been wanting to do this for 2 years now. So thank you for the inspiration. Small cars should have the loudest horns in my opinion. Love your vids. Glad to see this one that’s for sure. 👍

      @NutzAboutBolts  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      NYCMP1 make sure it’s a plug and play part, some horns require you to splice into the original wire harness to make it work. Which you can do but it’ll require a little mod work.

      @NYCMP1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      NutzAboutBolts yes I realized this when searching through your link. It shouldn’t be a problem, I’m good with wiring. Or at least I think I am :) but nice to know there are plug and play replacements out there. This is one so very needed push for me to get it done, so again, thanks 👍

    Definitely perfect if you need the person backing up about to hit you to hear your horn. Wish i had this sooner. Question is: I hv the horns play mp3 tracks?

    glad to see another prius video. I used you other ones on my daughters car to clean clogged EGR cooler, OCC, etc... it did have a bad front wheel bearing which would have been nice to see you guys tackle - getting that lock nut out was a PITA.

    Thanks for the video. I hate my Prius Mickey Mouse horn . We can use the same relay? No increase in current draw with these horns?

    • @NutzAboutBolts
      @NutzAboutBolts  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it’s just plug and play, the wire harness is short but it’s doable. I’m still using the horn ever since this video, sounds so much better than oem lol

    Is this usable on all Toyota products? I’m looking at getting a 3rd gen RAV4 and I already know I’ll want to replace the horn on that if I get it and I love the sound of this one

    New Pris owner (picked up a 2013 Prius V) and found your video. Thanks for making for newbies like me. Question: Is the connector to the horn universal? I'd like to pick up some aftermarket horns, but want to make sure they will connect....Thanks again...

    • @NutzAboutBolts
      @NutzAboutBolts  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      These horns are plug and play. You don’t need any modification to connect it to your original wire harness.

    Can you loosen the bracket and rotate the horn so the wire connector is in the same place as the factory horn?

    alwas remember: using a more powerful horn requires you to you an additional relis and wiring, not just the factory cable!

    • @NutzAboutBolts
      @NutzAboutBolts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s not that powerful though… that’s why I chose this plug and play.
