- Installed outlaw flowmaster catback exhaust on my 5.3 2016 Chevy Silverado.
No drone at all, will say their was a pretty bad fitment issue as well as some bent pipes we had to re adjust with the exhaust but other then that I’m very satisfied, daily drive this truck and it’s not loud until you get on it!
You really woke up that V8 🔥

rob 49erfan I agree, I’m highly considering it. I’m just a little stuck at the moment because the F1A-94 procharger kit for my camaro is $9400. I’m debating if I go all in which is another 20k+ on the camaro to hit that 1XXXwhp sagely it do little by little and upgrade my trucks gears to 3.73s and a whipple for some extra power. To many ideas and not enough money 😞

rob 49erfan how do you like your supercharger? The one for my Silverado is only 6k but yeah the procharger supporting up to that 4 digit power on the camaro is pretty pricey

Sounds great. Idk, I think I’m leaning towards the Borla because the noise sounds deeper IMO.

Nice truck! Mine looks exactly the same with the lift, tires, and side steps. Except my bumpers are chrome. I’m looking into getting the outlaw exhaust system as well. Is it loud in the cab when driving? Too loud for listening to music?
shreddie7 nope not loud at all, honestly while cruising I can barely even hear it! I was a bit upset on how quiet it was at first but it’s perfect!

Cisco Mayn long tube for sure, I personally don’t want to loud on my truck because it’s a daily and I travel a lot but long tube with cats is my next move for some more sound 👍

I'm curious about the drone at highway speeds of 75-80 mph or just cruising at 45-55. Is it obnoxious? I have 2 sons that I ride around with a lot and looking around for a decent exhaust.
It is not, I’ve driven this truck to Canada from texas and so on, basically all around the world and it’s perfect

Nice truck! I just bought the same exhaust and installing on my 2017 Chevy Silverado. Your video was the selling point, best example on the tube. Any serious issues with your Silverado? Miles? I bought mine used with 46,000 miles and first thing I did was deleted the V4 mode and flushed the transmission and put in a lower temp thermostat in the transmission. In my experience preventive maintenance goes along way. Lol. Thanks nice Camaro as well 🔥💯🇺🇲
Thank you, I bought mine new with 6 miles, has 105,000 now and I only drive it for road-trips, had a problem at 90k miles. The torque converter was acting up. I dropped the trans and replaced it myself, other then that I recently changed to 4.56 gears and my suspension to fox reservoirs, still kicking strong, I should delete the V4 but haven’t. But I hear you, I plan on procharging it maybe. Idk. Kind of on the fence of what I want to do with it now, I want a diesel, more convenient for towing but will see.

@@MP3BOOSTED how long did it take and how tricky was the overall torque converter job? My 2014 has been acting up and slipping a little and i want to get ahead of it. I’ve done a clutch job on my Sc300 before but never delt with automatic trans and torque converters.
Being lifted it was easy, didn’t have to do anything besides get under it drop the exhaust, driveshaft and pull the trans then swap the converter. Did it within 4 hours
What size lift, wheels, and tires is on your truck? I like that stance. I just got a 2016 and want to do that same lift and tire combo

@@MP3BOOSTED I think 18’s are a perfect size and 35s are the right amount of rubber for them. I hate those big ass rims with 1’ of rubber on them. I think they make a truck look like a Hot Wheels toy and as far as four wheeling, you need rubber to flex and dig and if you don’t have no sidewall, you lose any flexibility and ability to grab, in my opinion

Yes I had transmission problems and 70-90k a. Kinda I guess. I had to replace the torque converter. I literally just got rid of the truck 7 months ago. Went with a 2500

No i don’t believe so, it got deeper as it heated up and settled. Perfect exhaust, I travel all around in it and no complaints
How high is it lifted and what size tires are those?

How is it on the highway? I love the sound, but I don't want it to be crazzy loud so everyone is looking at you going down the highway. Does it sound weird when it goes into 4 cyl mode?
Doesn’t sound loud at all in person, it’s a perfect setup in my opinion, not annoying either. 4 cyl mode actually sounds depper

I lifted the truck pretty quick when I bought it so hard for me to remember, the ride is definitely smooth though, I’ve taken it all around the world and it’s done it’s job. Zone is a offset if BDS. I do however plan on getting some shock absorbers here soon to better the ride when off roading

The outlaw flowmaster catback. It definitely is a good sounding exhaust. You can hear that v8 but at the same time it isn’t to loud, perfect for a daily driver. I bought it off carid website.
Anyone eve but two outlaw extreme mufflers for true dual exhaust. Wanna know if it'll sound different. Got a 2012 GMC sierra 5.3L. Bought it with 2 pipes going into one and then coming out of I guess a flowmaster dual outlet muffler but I like the Outlaw extreme tones.

Outlaw extreme are the best I just put them on my Lincoln Mark VIII and it sounds nasty ( removed the 3 old cats too) no drone either you only have a very low tone rumble above 40 it also opened everything up the car is happy and breathing better Totally recommend Outlaw extreme

Was “open headers” really open headers? Because from my understanding, open headers means the exhaust is released right out of the motor itself or from the headers with no other exhaust piping. I imagine open headers would have been louder than that lol

Okay cool it sounds great I talked to Flowmaster today and found out the difference between the numbers only difference is 815430 is stainless steel and 15430 is aluminized that's what I had been trying to figure out for a while when trying to find what system to go with for my V10

Great question, I love my truck because I can take it anywhere and everywhere, I love the Camaro because it’s always something I’ve wanted and I built it but i can’t drive the Camaro now as much as I’d like because of everything I’ve done.

That’s strange 👀, I couldn’t say, only two things I changed on my truck is the exhaust and intake, I mean it could just be the iPhone I recorded with 🤷♂️, the truck is loud at cold start but normal at warm idle

Thermal AE I have 18 inch fuel octane wheels is what I believe they are called and they are in 35x12.5 nitto mud grapplers.

Thermal AE yeah your truck looks sick, so I stand corrected, I am running fuel vector not octanes, I was going to get the octanes but changed my mine because I think they were going to take longer to receive then vectors. You went with the good lift lol, I have zone 6.5 inch lift. 🤦♂️
MP3BOOSTED hows fitment on yours ? I have a -12 offset and honestly had to do a good amount of trimming. Big bumps/suspension flex I rub a lot.
Thermal AE mine are perfect, I didn’t do the install, I also was shown very little trimming done to the truck 🤷♂️

I have a 1993 ford lighting and I want to to put the outlaw exhaust on it. Is that a good idea or should I get a different set of flowmasters?

MP3BOOSTED yes it’s a daily driver and I do want a load and nice sound.
So I personally on a daily don’t want the loudest setup out there which is where I would say this exhaust fits perfectly, the cold start is pretty loud but other then that it quiets down a lot. I take this truck on 20+ hour drives and i sometimes forget I have exhaust, so if you want stupid loud I’d say throw on some headers and it will be perfect. I don’t have have drone with my current setup but couldn’t say how much headers would change that.
MP3BOOSTED I will probably get the outlaw setup because that’s what sounds the best to me. The super 44 and the 40 series doesn’t sound aggressive enough for my taste.

What's it sound like at a red light when it cuts down to 4 cylinders?
Chad NotBrad so at a red light you barely hear the truck, but it has that v8 idle. Sounds deep. As far as the 4 cylinder mode it just sounds really Deep, actually doesn’t sound bad in that mode.
I have the exact same truck except 2017. I've always done flowmaster 40's on everything but haven't touched this truck in 18 months because I didn't know what the 4 cyl cutoff would sound like. I think I will do it this week now. Thanks.
