I finished the build of mine today, and I really liked the kit. A verry pleasant kit to build, crisp and sharp detail, everything fits like a glove. I can recommend this kit!

Academy kits have come a long way. I built a 1/35 Jagdpanzer 38 Hetzer and the finished product came up looking very good. Sure, they're not Tamiya but the cost about half as much.

I like how you did this Pz.III Dusan, the colors look like straight from the desert. Quite heat warn. Since I'm building more armor now, I like to choose the version that uses the most parts, after all they do come with the kit and you do pay for them. Spares may be one thing, but extra parts going unused!? SINFUL! I'm going to steal a few more of your ideas, especially the track assembly tricks {as usual, thanks!} Great job Dusan! Congrats!

Two great PzIII kits coming out in 2020/21, Academy and RFM... will probably end up getting both and they will probably be similar price (even if RFM will have workable suspension and tracks)...
I've heard that they're similarly priced but every time I look RFM is usually $20+ more than Academy. Am I looking in the wrong stores lol?

Nice build from the master. ;o I love building tanks, but painting with brush is a pain, as airbrush is to expensive for me.

A lot snarl at academy..I’ve built Academy’s P-47 and ok I added some detail but it a fun build..Got Academy’s F-14 and isn’t Tamiya’s F-14 but looks a straight forward build and heard it’s ok..Haven’t got any armor from Academy though I would be happy to try them..Thank you for a great video

I started modelling many years ago, and am coming back to it after a little break. I'd pretty much written off Academy kits, all the older ones were terrible, but it looks like they've really upped their game in recent years. It might be time for a reappraisal.
I would say that in the last ten years Academy has really upped their game, and in the last 5 years or so have produced and are continuing to release some of the best models around. Like Tamiya, they go for ease of construction with great details, rather than stupid levels of part numbers.
5:04 it’s time to primer the hull protecting all pins then using them as support for painting all wheels.

Can you tell me why do you primer the complete Kit in Black and then you paint it with desert yellow?

Thanks!! It's just a black primer becouse anyway I am using the primer prior to the paintjob, for this type of cammo I prefer to use gray ones but I forgot to go out and buy one. Yes you can use the black primer for pre-shading etc. But I had to use few coats to get the right shade. All the best! Dusan

Nice build 👍👍👍You've painted the camo with 0,3 Needle and diluted the ammo color with Revell Thinner? How much pressure did you have?
The basic cammo is finished with 0.3mm and the second color was finished with 0.18. Yes, I added a few drops of Revell thinner in original mix, (test) sometimes I use 96% alcohol but this time I decided to use Revell thinner. Just one tip, you can use self leveling thinner believe it or not for this colors. All the best! D.

Well... Have you seen his f4u corsair or the p-38? It's very weathered BUT realistic. I think you are talking about his jet fighter builds but jets are clean because now they care more about it being clean. His ww2 aircrafts are realistically weathered and that's what matters :). Thanks!! I just used the enamel paints (white base/red) the paint was still fresh while filming so it's a bit of semi-gloss now it's dead flat. All the best!! Dusan

What’s the ratio of thinner for ammo paints ?
Something like the consistency of milk, I would say approx. 65t/35p mix, I had problems (just with 0.18mm needle). With 0.3 was just fine. All the best! Dusan.

Why would a tank crew leave a flag on the front of the tank where it might block the driver's(or gunner's) view?
Yup I don't know either, just saw a picture.
They used to put a flag on the top of their tanks in order to avoid being bombed by Stukas. Maybe the tank in the picture Dusan saw was at rest after the battle and the flag was folded to be stored. I guess the flag would block some vent or sort of block someones view but it seems avoiding the friendly air strike was more important.

@@ScaleModelAircraft I have a full PE set with the fenders arc for a panzer 3 ausf j might come in handy if try this kit as I love my panzer 3s don't like the fenders on it they would definitely have to go! No bug deal on that plenty in parts box lol think I'll order it in to try it

Yes, that's right, it was still fresh (enamel Revell), now is dead flat.
Extremely expensive to build model, I think over 300 USD to buy paint, metal parts, material and equipments to do it. The kit itself is very cheap.
