Thought about getting back into nitro recently and thought i'd just get something cheap to start to see if i can be bothered with it, before going and spending a fair bit on a nice .21 for my Xray XB808 spares buggy.

Biggest mistake I made was selling my Nitro MT. Ive missed it ever since. I had all the upgrade purple aluminum parts. Stock motor, upgraded servos. So much fun.

You have the updated version of the Nitro MT. The Very first version which I had used the older Nitro Star .15 with a cast cooling head, mine also didn't have that bottom protector for the spur gear. I really enjoyed my Nitro MT and bashed it for years! I remember all the upgrades I did to mine! I added the 2.5mm chassis, center slipper clutch, graphite top plate, duratrax aluminum shocks, RPM ball ends with RRP titanium tie rods, MIP Clutch and MIP CVD's. I then upgraded the engine to the O.S. .15CV-R and fitted a Dynamite header and Ofna ribbed tuned pipe. I miss those days back when the hobby was in full swing. I could take my truck literally anywhere and nobody would complain like they do today.
Yes this is the later version, it came with a ford F350 body as well. My dad has the original kit version and my spares car is also and original version

@@LawrenceTimme tell me about it I live in the UK and parts are rare as rocking horse teeth , I've just got into nitro my self , I had electric one before but never a nitro
@@kustomcars56 that's good to hear. Nitro is much more fun if you like mechanical things and noise. Electric cars feel a bit dead sometimes which is why people have to put stupid overpowered systems in them to get any enjoyment when really a nitro going half the speed would be just as good.
FYI, I repair my lexan body's by using Seal-all glue from $tree. Put a layer of the glue down and then cut a piece of fiberglass window screen, then lay it into the glue and work the glue threw the holes of the screen. Holds great and still can flex.

Either eBay or Google the part numbers to looks for shops with parts.
I have some parts including a stock spur , I can look , I have tons of nylon parts gear dif cases ,wheels stock diff cups , just letting mt collectors know, I have one brand new with every available upgrade done never run with a limited edition .12 evolution by novarossi and hpi , I have spare .15 fe also ect. I had lots of these and they were top of the line in the day
I have those exact same tires on my electric RS4MT and I just got a nitro RS4MT which I converted to electric any videos of you driving this
Yeah they are great, I don't have any videos of it running as I ran it twice the the clutch snapped. Got some footage of my dad's running the other day though :) I might post that when I get time
Lawrence Timme it’s been 6 months why haven’t you fixed it yet my converted nitro blew out a diff gear I’m getting one from eBay thank god it’s only running a brushed motor lol
@@nomusicrc it didn't break 6 months ago. Was probably 2-3 months ago :P. I just haven't got round to it, I have been working on my x-ray, hyper st and smt10 a lot. So it got pushed down the list.
Where do you get parts for this car? I cant find nothing anymore
Hello Craig, it's almost impossible to get parts for this car now, you have to hunt eBay or look at old stock on all the little model shops.
I bought a few spares online from various shops before everything when out of stock and I also bought a whole other car for spares.

@@LawrenceTimme yea last time i crashed mine was about 5 years ago and i went on end of line RC but they have nothing now. Ive had mine since September 2003 as i found the warranty card
@@craigcooper75 that is a long time! My dad has had one since 2001. I only bought mine the other year to use as a spares car for his, but I liked driving his so much I bought another as a spares car and got this one up and running again.
@@LawrenceTimme mine is running rough and sluggish as its so old, i need to get it tuned up and fresh fuel as its old, but i strip it down part for part screw for screw every year
Hey if you still reply can we contact on Instagram or phone I just got a mt1 exactly like yours and I’m having trouble starting it and knowing what tune or even how to work the tune screws I’m used to needles not the twist adjustment I just have a few questions and need to show you some things

Lawrence Timme what video I did that with a guy telling him to not lett go of the steering knob to turn left and right I told him to just hold it the whole time I don’t remember if I said it makes you look like you’re new to the hobby but he did say he was new to the hobby and I said so you don’t do it anymore and he got very angry you can’t fix stupid
