Different doesn't mean live. Her voice was very raspy in this performance, so if the belts were live they would have sounded way more strained. She also struggled with some live notes, so there's no way she could have hit those notes with so much ease. 3:35 to 4:00 sounded totally lipped, totally vocally disconnected from the rest of the performance. She never sang that part of It's Like That live.
Those belts were pre recorded. Her voice was tired here and she was moving like crazy between 3:35 and 4:00. You can also compare the tone quality difference between the live parts and the climax.
16 years later and I still get that feeling. I had not seen Mariah in this glory since Daydream. Like we just knew she was going to reclaim that crown when she performed here.
