YES! Research is so important. I did so much research before I got my hamster and I’m so happy I did. If you already have your hamster, it isn’t to late to start researching. Research= a happy hamster. I’ve had my hamster for a year now and I’m still learning new things

Me and my family did so much research after I received my 2 as a gift from my mom and it was SUPER helpful
We feed them some stuff they were not allowed to have when we first got them and the figured out with the help of the internet that it could have made them very sick and thankfully they did not get sick.

My favorite things about hamsters are their cute little noses and fat bellies, also their little tounges and how they hold their food ☹️. I love everything about hamster, they’re so cute especially when they go on you 🥺. My hamsters love to go on my back and sleep, i have 4 syrian hamsters and they’re so sweet! On the first day I got them they were getting comfortable with me already.

I’ve been binge watching these before i get a hamster, because when i was in 2nd grade my hamster was so miserable. So i wanted my new hamster to have a good life!
My bf was getting really upset and stressed last night because he couldn’t fall asleep and needed to get up at 4am to go to work. So after a while of tossing and turning he went and took our hamster out of the enclosure. He said he held her and played with her for about 10 minutes and it was enough to calm him down and let him finally fall asleep.

I love that I have so much in common with my dwarf hamster. Chubby, smol, near sighted, hoards food, omnivore, solitary animal, doesnt drink a lot of water, no gag reflex.

I used to have a hamster, his name was Hazel, i would play with him almost everyday and he would always make me happy. When some of my neighbors came over to play with him, they weren’t careful with him and he ended up biting one of them. My neighbor was pretty upset and angry. My hamster would also hang from the top of the cage, which we tried to get him to stop, but he always kept falling... he ventilations died probably because of brain damage and I was miserable...
I don’t own a hamster but I love watching your channel personally I’m more into reptiles, but thank you. You have helped so many people with their Hamster care your channel is amazing.

I’m so glad you put in the fact that you can still hold them while having a cold! I swear I heard from another TH-camr or maybe reddit that they can catch colds, so I haven’t been interacting with my Syrian when I’ve been sick. Glad to have the right information!
Guinea pigs can catch the common cold from humans; that may be what you heard before.

See I'm not sure about this, a large number of online resources state that hamsters CAN catch colds from humans.
I'm still going to err on the side of caution and not handle mine if I'm unwell.
My favorite part of the video is the thumbnail. BUMBLE IS TOO CUTE!!! I wish bumble could have lived forever so I could see more bumble being adorable.

i had a long haired Syrian hamster. he was my Bundle of joy. enjoy the times you have with them cause you never know when you will see them again..... mine passed away. i was devastated. so i just watch hamster videos to make me feel better.

When you said that hamsters eat their poop I was shocked and relived. My old hamster did this, and because I was like 6 I was awfully disgusted because I had no idea what he was doing.

My first semester in college I went to the local pet store and found a sapphire winter white. It’s been 7 months now with my buddy Earl! I’ve learned so much about hamster care over the course of this time. I love him!
I’m getting a rat and this was on my recommended, but I’ve had hamsters, just editing this comment for fun, we’re going to rescue two rats and and keep them in a midwestern critter nation cage, we’re still deciding on names but that’s all o have to say

@@desmynstephens4937 rats are sky that bad, people always think rats are some sort of disgusting plague spreader but they are actually really clean rodents for the most part. And super sweet and smart.
I wanted a rat but sadly my parents said no so i did 2 months of research on hamsters and my parents got me a hamster luckily :)

When my hamster ate a cucumber after an hour her poop and pee smells weird and so I fed her carrots and the smell went away😂😊
One question: Why are you smelling your hammys pee and poop?
There'll Be Days Like This To make sure they are healthy bc if there is a bad odor, that’s not a good sign.
smelling your hamster’s feces and urine are fine but be careful because if you inhale dry particles of it you can get really sick!

Edit (4/14/20):I own two adorable hamsters named Potato and Chibimaru. Chibimaru is a sapphire winter white dwarf and potato is a normal winter white. Soon I am making them a bin cage!

I've had my little Syrian barry for 2 years now since he was a few months old.. I've learnt so much from Victoria which I'm so grateful for. I probably wouldn't ever have known how to provide my ham with appropriate care if it wasn't for her ♡
🌠edit: my baby barry got put down on the 7/4/20 after a cancerous growth developed.. he lived a long happy life and I'll treasure our memories🐹🌈💞
I have a little dwarf hamster named s’mores. My cousin also has a hamster and right now I am trying to get her to what Victoria Raechel’s videos so that she can learn how to properly care for her Syrian. And one of the facts that I didn’t know about was that hamsters should have like yellowish orange teeth!

I watched an episode of Wild Kratts that talked about the European Hamster. Didn’t realize they carry their babies in their pouches too, to carry them around. I wasn’t pleased with the ending of their show though, the cage they showed as appropriate was heart breaking.
