The GaDez era (Galang of DLSU and Valdez of ADMU) are one of the most intense seasons like ever! Valdez helped the ADMU to have its first UAAP women's volleyball title in season 76, they bestowed her the monicker as The Phenom (Phenomenal) and had a back to back title in season 77 all in expense of DLSU. tough luck on DLSU when Galang 'The Great' as her monicker, had a major ACL injury and missed the finals in season 77, yet the DLSU brought the title back the year after season 78 with Galang healed from the injury and make Valdez graduated with no title on her last UAAP stint (with 2 UAAP championship under her belt. Seasons 76 - 77) while Galang bested her with 3 UAAP titles (Season 74,75,78) Talk about the rivalries of both teams and the story of these two power players! I wish the fans stop bickering each other and appreciate both teams and the sport itself.

Kell, this game is still "tame" if you compare it to previous matches in previous seasons where games reach the fifth set. Also, the basketball matches, the crowd can really get heated and fierce where games are decided in the last 10 seconds of the match. Its all in good fun though since they always sing the school hymn when the game ends. Nonetheless, it is good you experienced it first hand. The energy inside the stadium is contagious. Besides the students of 2 schools are usually friends off the court. It is very common to have officemates and colleagues from both schools. My cousins studied in Ateneo while i am from La Salle. Its a friendly rivalry now unlike several decades ago where there were a few instances of violence.
