Hi Kell just to give you a little trivia about Alona Beach. It was named after the late Fillipina actress Alona Alegre she was filming the movie Esteban with Fernando Poe Jr here in 1972 at that time the area is still undeveloped but its already a very beautiful place .In one of the scenes in the movie Alona was running around in the shoreline of that beach front. Many locals living in the area at that time was so fascinated to see Alona Alegre in person because she is very sexy and beautiful thats why the people there named it after Alona Alegre. The filmed was released on March 27 1973 and it was a huge hit unfortunately she died last year. You can google her

My father was in the Philippines many years before I lived there. He was building bridges so the allied forces could get around. Go Sea Bee's !!! I lived 10 years of my life in the Philippines and my wife and kids were born there. When my father saw my wife for the first time in person he got tears in his eyes and family wondered why. I think she reminded him of a lost love as he was always so kind to her and told me that if we broke up for some reason it would be my fault and a big loss. To bad he would not talk about it. Enjoy my friend!
