      Z250SL was sold for 1 year over here... if you see one over here it is unique. :)

    Hi, I've been looking at getting this bike but might need helmet storage. Givi boxes can be made to fit where the pillion seat mounts, but it kind of depends on how strong the pillion seat mount is - do you think a box mounted instead of a pillion seat would be secure?

    • @MotoSnax
      @MotoSnax  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That will probably work, but I have never seen something like that. I've always seen them with top case rack. The seat is strong enough to hold a big box, but getting on and off the bike can be annoying with a box placed on the pillion seat... I can't find manufacturers who sell top case racks, so I guess the pillion case is the only option.

      Amersfoort81 yeah, it's not s flawless plan - but it has been done on other bikes, the concept pretty simple. Since I'd only really need it for helmet storage, do you know anything about helmet locks with regard to this bike?

    Perfect for me

    I have this bike for a year, and I can say that the downside is :
    1. The sound won't be as good as a 2 cylinder ninja
    2. Noisy radiator fan when it spins. Turning off the bike doesn't stop it from spinning
    3. Starts to vibrate uncomfortably at around 100 kph
    4. Small passenger seat, and hard as hell. It will give passenger a pain in their bottoms
    The upside?
    1. Very light and agile
    2. Excellent acceleration and power from low RPM (Perfect for daily use, traffic, etc)

    • @MotoSnax
      @MotoSnax  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      When turning off, the engine keeps on running? That is not good... not sure how long your warranty term is, but I'd visit the dealership. You are right about the passenger seat, that is worthelss. :)

    • @reboundk1ng
      @reboundk1ng 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Amersfoort81 that's just how it is with this bike. It's controled by a sensor, so turning off the bike won't stop the fan from spinning.

    • @reboundk1ng
      @reboundk1ng 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Amersfoort81 no, not the engine. The radiator fan

    • @MotoSnax
      @MotoSnax  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah, my bad. :) Well it is probably programmed to stop when the engine temperature is at a certain level (even when the engine is off). As I live in a colder area I never noticed the fan. I do know the KTM 390 Duke has a fan which starts a lot when riding, even in my cold country The Netherlands. They stopped actively selling the Z250SL, has only been sold for one year, so when someone has one in my country, it is pretty unique.

    Apology a question, which is better bike Kawasaki Z250 sl (2014) or KTM RC200 (2016) both are new agency

    • @MotoSnax
      @MotoSnax  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Z250SL probably has a little bit more torque (and maybe power) and better looks. Although the last is personal of course. I would pick the Z250SL.

    Hello How is it to ride for long time with it for trips and so?
    and how it is for the passenger? Thnx

      @MotoSnax  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The seat is quite hard, so after a while you will feel that. No experience with passenger and I only had the bike for a week to test it. Wish I still had it, but importers don't let you keep the bike after the test. ;)

      Hello,i just was at the showroom,and they are not recommending on the Z250 they say its better to put the extra for the Z300.i dont know if its true but they say that the Z50 eating more oil.
      and it fills like a toy scooter bike,but i drove it and didnt felt like a toy at all.what do u think?

    • @MotoSnax
      @MotoSnax  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Z300 is bigger, little bit more weight, more power and better on the highway. Yet the Z250SL also appeals because it's small and agile. Where do you live and how do you want to use it? If you don't ride on the highway much, then the Z250 will do. If you need to take the highway a lot and want to ride fast, then the Z300 is the better option. I don't know about oil usage, I both have tested them for one week.

    I particularly like this motorcycle but i want your opinion thnx.

    • @MotoSnax

      Z250SL is a nice bike to start with. Except on the highway I wouldn't recommend riding 120+ km/h. It is possible, but not comfortable. Any other bikes you like? Ninja 250 is also a great bike, has an extra cylinder, makes it easier on the highway.

      The question is still hard to understand (Google Translate sucks sometimes), but the Z250SL is a neat motorcycle to start with. Even for beginners it's a perfect bike. Light weight and fast (150km/h). I like the motorcycle and would recommend it to beginners or for people who do not need powerful motorcycles.

    Kawasaki is selling 250s again? I checked their German site and didn't found this. The European site lists this bike and a new Ninja 250 but doesn't tell a price though. Do you have any information on the price? It should be significantly lower than the 300 because there isn't really a point in buying a 250 if the 300 is just a few hundred Euros more.

    • @MotoSnax
      @MotoSnax  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      v1ncn7 That's funny. They don't sell them in Germany and France. They do sell these in The Netherlands, Belgium, the UK and Spain. Maybe even more countries. In The Netherlands it's 4999 EUR, in Spain there is a special discount price, only 3449 EUR. That's a steal, really. 4999 is too much, because for only 500 EUR more, you can get the Z300. But the Z250SL is really a neat bike, but that 500 EUR difference is too small to buy the 250 instead of the 300.
